It’s all a ruse. It was planned that way. The prosecution asked for that charge simply for judge pain in the face to throw it out making her look fair. There was nothing fair about this judge or this trial.

Why not? I'm always told that he was a little boy hunted down and murdered by a rogue thug. Would the media lie to us? /s

Do any freepers know what the dialectic is? The judge of this kangaroo court just pulled the dialectic. It is a marxian move wherein you move two steps forward and then one step back. The naive observer thinks the marxist has had a change of heart. Nothing could be farther from the truth! Zimmerman was charged with 2nd degree murder. This so-called judged threw out the prosecutions post-trial charge of ‘child abuse’ and instead informed the jury they could convict on the basis of a manslaughter charge instead - a clear example of the dialectic! I think she is working for the prosecution who knows their original charge is baseless!

But they got it out in the news one more time. Trayvon was merely a child.

I was pleasantly surprised by this ruling. This judge has been so hostile to Zimmerman and his attorneys I thought she had become a de facto member of the prosecution.

I am glad that the judge has ruled out this (downright silly) option.

What I continue to fear, however, is that the jury may decide upon a "compromise" verdict; and find Zimmerman guilty of manslaughter, rather than second-degree murder.

And this, I believe, would be a travesty. For either he is guilty of second-degree murder or he is entirely innocent (depending upon whom one believes).

I tend to think the latter is more likely. And I certainly cannot imagine that one might believe that Zimmerman is guilty of murder beyond all reasonable doubt.

But I would very much dislike any attempt to split the baby here...

This judge needs to be investigated by the Florida Judicial Qualification Commission for incompetence at the very least. Her malfeasance in this case is beyond the pale, even for Flori-DUH and I'm a lifelong born and raised citizen of this fair state. She makes me ashamed to say that, a little.

Where did Jebbie find this judge? Where did Ford find John Paul Stevens, who according to Ford was his greatest achievement in office. Is Nelson Jebbie’s biggest achievement? Will he put her on the Supreme Court in 2017?
