Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) urged their House Republican colleagues to pass immigration reform legislation in a closed-door meeting Wednesday, with the Speaker arguing his conference would be in a much weaker position if it failed to act.
A divided House Republican conference met for more than two hours in the basement of the Capitol to begin hashing out a response to the sweeping immigration bill the Senate passed last month.
-snip-
He (Issa) said the House would deal with the 11 million illegal immigrants, but that the conference viewed them not as a uniform block, but in three distinct categories: Those who should remain, those who should not remain, and those who would fall within guest workers or other programs.

Ok I have got to know... does this drunk pos believe what he is saying or does he just have no other defense of this idea?????????????
If they vote out a bill you will see it rise.
LLS
Thanks, I need that ;-).
The other way is to cut off, 100%, ALL gov bennies from free school to free emergency rooms to FS and anything else. And for the rest of the takers, they have to show valid ID for everything.
Of course, we need to cut off Uncle free stuff for everyone, legal or not. Welfare in all its manifestations is killing the country not just from pi**ing away money (that doesn’t even exist) to making dependent slavish fools out of millions of people. And attracting parasites.
You can’t do that unless you provide tools to figure out who’s legal, and allow employers to require extra documentation if they think someone’s illegal. Right now, they can’t fire someone if their e-verify result indicate fraud, so how can they be held responsible?
What is weaker than a grown male cry baby?
Get rid of the one party system and vote them all out.
Okay, it is high time that employers got off the hook by claiming that they didn’t know the person was illegal.
“Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) urged their House Republican colleagues to pass immigration reform legislation in a closed-door meeting Wednesday, with the Speaker arguing his conference would be in a much weaker position if it failed to act.”
Pass any of this garbage Boner and you’ll see how much weaker you are.
In the Poll of American’s 21 most pressing concerns what was immigration reform at?
I hope Bhoner comes out and calls it a ‘lesser evil’. Maybe then people will wake the hell up about that particular phrase. Because God knows there are plenty of Freepers that still don’t get it. Ergo it should shock no one that the genpub doesn’t get it either.
Vote for lesser evil and Bhoner’s ‘leadership’ is the result. Simple math.
Fine. Primary the pro-illegal RINOs.
People in Cincinnati must be as clueless as their distant Graham-McPain cousins in SC and AZ.
****three distinct categories: Those who should remain, those who should not remain, and those who would fall within guest workers or other programs.****
I can go along with that.
But we need more details.
To stop free school you need a Constitutional amendment or a SCOTUS willing to overturn Plyler v. Doe, 1982
Or financial collapse. Which is IMHO inevitable sooner or later.
Pass a law if you want but there’s a court somewhere waiting to rule against it.
Which is why political change is now akin to a cadaver. It cannot function like a live body any more.
We need a real leader as speaker, not a go along, get along crybaby drunk.
