“The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be joining Fox News Channel in September to co-host the top-rated morning show “Fox & Friends.”
Hasselbeck will be replacing current co-host Gretchen Carlson, who will begin anchoring her own daytime show on Fox News Channel in the fall.
“Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View,” Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes said in a statement Tuesday. “She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”

I can’t imagine Gretchen hosting her own Fox daytime show. She’s a nice person, but she’s just not that sharp, IMHO. I suspect that she’ll be eased out of the Fox line up, just like ED Hill.
Hassleback was out of place with these ugly Progressive nags.
There should be a conservative women’s talk show like “The View” hosted by Megyn Kelly.
I heard her doing a similar show once with 2 other smart and beautiful conservative girls and IT WAS FUNNY AND BRILLIANT AND AMAZING!!
I would record it to watch it. This could open up a new field for womens talk shows, the way Rush opened up AM Radio to conservative talk.
We’ll see how she likes the center spot on the Curvy Couch where the camera shoots straight up her skirt.
She seems to me an honest, God fearing, Patriotic conservative woman as far as one like that can go on TV.
I’d imagine that she feels she’s done her time in hell amidst a bunch of dried up, hagged out sniveling bitches who couldn’t trap a real man with a steel bear trap baited with a 6 pack and a Playboy magazine.
I wish her well, she deserves some real associates don’t don’t cause her purge her stomach after every show.

That’s the problem, it would be guys watching. Women would hate them for their looks. There is a reason the women on TV talk shows are embarrassingly ugly.
It’s good for her. No one watches the view. Lot’s watch F & F.

Strongly disagree. The poster was talking about a talk show for conservative women. Only ugly females hate/envy attractive ones, and the ugly stick hit the left side of the aisle a whole lot harder than it did the right.
While I like Megyn's direct and forceful style, and she seems better informed than most, she is left of center on some pretty big issues, e.g. acceptance of homosexuality.
I agree, she got old, reached her Fox shelf life. “Gretch” really got on my nerves with her canned “rants”. I would have preferred Alisyn get the spot.
Maybe, but the wife and I have always thought that Gretch puts the “dumb” in dumb blonde. Glad to see her go, maybe Elisabeth can up the intelligence level in spite of her curly head dumb jock co-host.
I’m convinced they keep Brian Kilmeade around only because of the likelihood that someday he will provoke an actual fist-fight with a guest, resulting in boffo ratings.
