US intelligence leaker Edward Snowden, who has been holed up in a Moscow airport for more than two weeks, has agreed to an offer of political asylum from Venezuela, a top pro-Kremlin lawmaker said on Tuesday.

Unless Russia smuggles him out in a submarine, or something, the Obama crowd will see that he never reaches his destination. And, Venezuela probably can’t offer him as much protection against a covert operation to “extract” him as Russia. Then, there’s the possibility that Venezuela sees this as a money-making opportunity via U.S. bounty.

They won't stop him. That card was blown when they grounded Evo Morales' plane a couple of weeks back. They won't try that again. Also had the side effect of enhancing anti-American opinion in Latin America. Leading me to believe the whole episode was a Vlad Putin set-up.
