Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Monday said enhancements in border security must be in place before the process of granting legal status to 11 million illegal immigrants begins, laying down a new marker in the debate over immigration reform.
The House is going to do its own job on developing an immigration bill, Boehner said Monday after an event on the Capitol steps on student loans. But its real clear, from everything that Ive seen and read over the last couple of weeks, that the American people expect that well have strong border security in place before we begin the process of legalizing and fixing our legal immigration system.

But Boehner has now said that "legalization" is the end goal.
Call your REP today and tell them you will hold them responsible for Boehner, Ryan and Cantor's actions if AMNESTY is brought up for a vote in the House.
‘Boost” won’t do it, seal the damned thing!
No vote till true security is achieved.
More Kabuki theater from the pols in DC.
The money is flowing into the House from the Open Border Lobby.
....and then King Baraq I can disregard anything the Congress passes and do what he wants to do. Honestly, could Republicans be any more worthless than Boehner and his fellow liberals?
They don’t need to add border security to any new bill.
They are ALREADY supposed to be securing the border.
Why add a law they are already ignoring to a new bill?
Border Security: YES
Legalization: NO
Border Security is a GOP-e smoke screen for Legalization.
Boehner feasts and drinks with Obama under the
laughing gaze of al Qaeda/MB.
He is a sellout to any conservative, as he substitutes
procrastination for action.
As if Obama could even be trusted to enforce that.

Bachmann: Boehner will use loophole to pass immigration in the House
Daily Caller ^ | June 18, 2013 |
I dont think we have a definitive on that yet, Bachmann said. I think theres still a loophole that the speaker might allow himself that he wont hold himself to the Hastert rule. In the shorthand, this is what I think is going to happen the very bad bill is going to be in the Senate. Were going to have a Trojan Horse bill that will look very good. It will look like border security in the House. Conservatives will vote for it in the House. Both bills will go to conference committee. The guts will get pulled out of the good bill. Amnesty will get put in. The Senate will pass it. It will go to the House. Nancy Pelosi will deliver all of the Democrat votes and all John Boehner has to do is deliver the committee chairs that hold the gavel.
‘Border Security’ is only a small shiny visible part of what is needed.
What about visa entry/exit tracking? What about interior enforcement? What about having ICE respond to calls from local authorities who pick up people who are here illegally? What about enforcement of deportation orders for politically connected Kenyan aunts? ...
The United States is already obligated by the supreme law of the land, the Constitution, to secure every state against invasion.
We the People cannot allow them to use their own dereliction of duty as an excuse to further destroy our national sovereignty and the rule of law.
Make it clear to your congressman that you consider a single ounce of support for this monstrosity to be a firing offense.
Rove’s “Border Security” charade has been Boehner’s game plan to get Amnesty passed from the get-go.
The republican party is an extension of the democrat party, both support New World Oder fascist government here in America.
Sad thing is we who are against this whole idea are the ones they are going to steal more money from to pay for it all.
“Border security,” the success of which is certified by whom? Janet Napolitano, who claimed three years ago the border is already secure?
So why dont we concoct this plan where we have a quasi open border and anyone with their piggy toes over the line can be here legally...and VOTE.
The bill is so convoluted and unenforceable that the only effects will be that ANYONE in this country is here legally.
“Boost wont do it, seal the damned thing!”
Amen! If Israel can do it—so can we.
Drunken fool.
Boehner is aptly named - his specialty is slipping it to GOP voters.
