U.S. Considers Faster Pullout in Afghanistan
New York Times ^ | July 8, 2013 | MARK MAZZETTI and MATTHEW ROSENBERG

Posted on 07/09/2013 4:20:45 AM PDT by Timber Rattler

Increasingly frustrated by his dealings with President Hamid Karzai, President Obama is giving serious consideration to speeding up the withdrawal of United States forces from Afghanistan and to a “zero option” that would leave no American troops there after next year, according to American and European officials.

Well, like the first time, we had flag draped coffins for about a decade and then had the desperate last helicopter rides out before the downfall.

This is looking very Vietnam’ish.

He’s not frustrated with Karzai. He made a deal with the next heroin/opium kartel, the returning Taliban to make the world safe for black tar heroin. That is what this about now. That and the correct backing for the correct natural gas pipeline to be built. Articles all over the place about the pipeline. The dope issue has been there since we got over there. Remember that karzai’s brother was shot dead with a hasselblad case full of what was (?) 56 million headed for a dubai bank. Seriously. obamaumau and his pals, just like many elitists... are dopers.

Well, yes, shamefully. And that was the same a=holes advising the elite as now-— mr. kissinger. And uh, “our” nixon. obamaumau is “their” nixon, on steroids with more toys to use.

A version of dominoe theory applied to terrorism. But there is a basis in saying it— because they did and are attacking us now on our home soil. and obamaumau is helping them establish the caliphate in the US. GW Bush also.

They are all “rug merchants”.....ie. dopers. My post elsewhere here discusses. Taliban is worse than karzai clan— the perpetual shift in the only business afghan does-— poppies and war/weapons deals. not much else redeeming.

better yet, let’s rewrite our existing immigration laws to turn our country over to waves of undocumented “sleeper” terrorists, and call it “reform”. All because we as a country do not make anything, and seek cheap labor at home... to perform service jobs for low pay.

I hate to tell you but thats the old John Crazy as a Coot McCain line. The war on terrorism is a bunch of carpola my friend. All it has brought us is the TSA and police state. That is the real reason for the war on terror to scare us all into giving up our freedoms.

The honest truth is that if 11 million unwashed unschooled Mexicans can sneak across the unsecured US border undetected so could a million terrorists. If they wanted to commit acts of terror they have had years to do it. So far only a suspicious bombing in Boston that is a tossup as to whether it was a govt false flag or not.

Time to bring the boys home and get our noses out of everybody’s business.

“If they wanted to commit acts of terror they have had years to do it.”

Except that they’re busy in Afghanistan and fomenting revolution in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Egypt, Pakistan, Thailand, Burma, and Indonesia.

Give them time - they’ll come knocking.

I’m sure they had time to come here too if they wanted to. They certainly could have gotten in the country. Heck they could have just flown in on a travel visa and then overstayed like everyone else. Visa’s in SA are on demand. I always think its a miracle we haven’t had more terrorism here but after a lot of thought and observation I just think they aren’t trying that hard.

I’d be perfectly happy to write off the entire Moslem world and everyone in it, believe me; it’s my contention, however, that if we don’t pin down Moslem terrorists outside the US, they’ll be found here, inside the US.

“I just think they aren’t trying that hard.”

They don’t have to try very hard; just ask the people of Boston.

It’s only an opinion, of course, but I have to think they’re out in the Moslem world (and that’s a big world) fighting in what have become countless revolutions and military actions, rather than here.

And I’d be willing to bet they’re looking to make more of a statement than filling a pressure cooker with nails, too.

In a world dominated by strife and countless military actions, it’s only a matter of when, not if, they get around to bringing some significant weaponry here to the US, particularly if there are no external battles being fought that require the hardware.

Then go fight those muslims big fella. After all a muslim woman from Flint Mi had the stones to go fight and die for her cause. Sounds to me like she had more stones than you do.

While you’re over there protecting the world, I’ll worry about myself right here.

Well of course we have enemies but in Afghanistan why are we fighting the Taliban? When the Russians were there they were the Mujadeen and we backed them to kick the Russians out. Now they are the Taliban.

We are not going to kill or conquer all of the Taliban because they are part of the indigenous people of Afghanistan. Its a losing proposition. It serves no purpose. It does not make us safer.

The Taliban didn’t cause the Boston Massacre. A couple of Chechyns who we already knew about and had been warned about by the Russians did. And we let them stay in the country and travel freely back and forth from the US to Chechnya.

If terrorism is so rampant how come bombs are not going off in every capital city in Europe?

I stand on my comments about the SE border. Its totally open by any standard. If the terrorists wanted to bring a nuke across and detonate it they could have done it 10 times already. As long as that border is open we can go off fighting in any foreign country we want and it won’t make us any safer.

We need to get out of these Mideast hellholes and start securing our borders and stop letting these crazy muzzies in the country. Then we will be safer.

Yes, you’re right - our borders are too porous and definitely should be secured.

At the moment, however, they’re not and that’s all the more reason to keep terrorists and would-be terrorists pinned down as far away as possible.

You are clearly mentally challenged, to put it in the most positive possible light.

I would strongly urge you to seek psychiatric assistance.

Yes, you’re right - I’m screeching in rabid terror.

Terror that someday I might become a moron like you; that would, indeed, be a fate worse than death itself.
