“I just think they arent trying that hard.”
They don’t have to try very hard; just ask the people of Boston.
It’s only an opinion, of course, but I have to think they’re out in the Moslem world (and that’s a big world) fighting in what have become countless revolutions and military actions, rather than here.
And I’d be willing to bet they’re looking to make more of a statement than filling a pressure cooker with nails, too.
In a world dominated by strife and countless military actions, it’s only a matter of when, not if, they get around to bringing some significant weaponry here to the US, particularly if there are no external battles being fought that require the hardware.
Well of course we have enemies but in Afghanistan why are we fighting the Taliban? When the Russians were there they were the Mujadeen and we backed them to kick the Russians out. Now they are the Taliban.
We are not going to kill or conquer all of the Taliban because they are part of the indigenous people of Afghanistan. Its a losing proposition. It serves no purpose. It does not make us safer.
The Taliban didn’t cause the Boston Massacre. A couple of Chechyns who we already knew about and had been warned about by the Russians did. And we let them stay in the country and travel freely back and forth from the US to Chechnya.
If terrorism is so rampant how come bombs are not going off in every capital city in Europe?
I stand on my comments about the SE border. Its totally open by any standard. If the terrorists wanted to bring a nuke across and detonate it they could have done it 10 times already. As long as that border is open we can go off fighting in any foreign country we want and it won’t make us any safer.
We need to get out of these Mideast hellholes and start securing our borders and stop letting these crazy muzzies in the country. Then we will be safer.
