Another credentialed dimwit has a really great idea for fixing everything wrong with the world, as related by the Washington Times: A Harvard professor wants to abolish the white race. Noel Ignatiev, a founder of a journal called Race Traitor and a fellow at Harvard's W.E.B. DuBois Institute, a leading black-studies department, argues in the current issue of Harvard Magazine that "abolishing the white race" is "so desirable that some may find it hard to believe" that anyone other than "committed white supremacists" would oppose it. In excerpts appearing this week in newspapers nationwide, Mr. Ignatiev, who is white, writes that "every group within white America," including "labor unionists, ethnic groups, college students, schoolteachers, taxpayers and white women" has at one time or another "advanced its particular and narrowly defined interests at the expense of black people as a race." Mr. Ignatiev pledges in the essay that his journal, Race Traitor, intends to "keep bashing the dead white males, and the live ones, and the females, too, until the social construct known as 'the white race' is destroyed not 'deconstructed' but destroyed." If you're one of the parents who racked up gigantic amounts of debt so your kid could waste time in this guy's classes, you have my condolences. If you're wondering how he proposes to "destroy" the "white race," later in the article we learn this is supposed to be deliberately "inflammatory" language for a non-genocidal program of wiping out "the mind-set and attitude that automatically grants privileges to white people," according to the Harvard Magazine editor who published this drivel. Of course, it's a matter of institutional policy at many levels of the government and academia that white people (and frequently Asians) are given automatic disadvantages because of their skin color.

Well, this was inevitable. All those racist whites took their children out of public school so the government couldn’t browbeat them into thinking they were evil, and to blame for all the ills of the world. Now whites will have to be eliminated.
The stupid thing is, if this professor knew anything at all about sub-Saharan Africa, he’d know ethnic strife (tribalism) is prevelant everywhere there—and having little or nothing to do with skin color.

I’m an Australian, I don’t know much about Harvard, but when you get a combination like Du Bois, Professor Bell, Louis Gates and this fellow Ignatiev, the subject of the thread...it doesn’t look too promising for anyone who isn’t at least a marxist, does it?
racism —this can not stand. This man needs to be fired at once—Such things will only lead to the rise of the Klan and other terrorists groups of whites. These will not be the robed night riders of old—they will be worst! No burning crosses, just blood. No more white robes and talk using the N-word and race but—an attack on Blacks—whites and browns.
