EL UNIVERSAL Monday July 08, 2013 03:37 PM The White House warned on Monday that former CIA staff Edward Snowden may not be allowed to travel to any other country but the United States.

The statement came after the US citizen was recently offered asylum by Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Bolivia.

The US Government keeps in touch through relevant diplomatic channels with all countries Snowden could travel across or choose for his final destination, said White House's spokesperson Jay Carney, EFE reported.

Carney's statement has been the first official US reaction after Nicaragua, Bolivia, and Venezuela recently offered Snowden asylum.

Carney further explained there were sufficient legal arguments for Russia to expel Snowden to the United States, despite the lack of any extradition bilateral treaty.

Kudos to any country telling the Obamadork and the gigolo to shove their threats up their collective smelly Obamas.

We think as little of these cretins as you do, rest of world.

I don’t recall Snowden asking “May I...?”

They’ve been issuing threats behind the scenes, for certain.
Recall the forced landing of the Bolivian president’s plane.

What would prevent Nicaragua, Venezuela or Bolivia from issuing Snowden a Passport and delivering it to him at the airport?

Methinks nothing would prevent that and Russia would honor it.

But might entering Russia on an American passport and leaving on one from another country violate some rule that Russia would enforce?

Only the lawyers know.

If we were discussing any other fugitive, this boilerplate language would be recognized for what it is: standard legal instructions.

But because it is Magical Wonderboy, to whom rules and regulations do not apply the way they do to lesser mortals, these statements are being treated as if they were unprecedentedly unjust.

Methinks the lady doth protest too much. This guy Snowden would have more than we realize on Obama, and could bring him down.

Issuing him a passport would be a de facto grant of citizenship.

This would be different from issuing a visa, which would be a stickier matter for Russia than a passport.

Because of security repercussions I have mixed emotions about Snowden, but we are better off for him exposing Obama’s gubmint for what it is.

I hope he lands in a safe place; for too many years I’ve felt like the people in District 12 of “The Hunger Games” (being dumped on by those of the “Capitol District”).

Snowden must have something of importance or is thought to have something, for the Washington mafia to be so wide awake and care so much about the boy’s well-being.
