One weekday morning in April 2004, a Libyan girl named Soraya was accorded one of her nations highest honors: Col. Moammar Khadafy was visiting her school, and Soraya alone had been chosen to present him with a bouquet.
You cant imagine the excitement, she recalled. To see Khadafy in person . . . His face had been known to me since I was born. Soraya was ushered into a makeshift dressing room, where she changed into traditional garb for the Libyan woman: red pants and tunic, small hat.
My heart was beating a hundred miles a minute, Soraya said. She was 15 years old, a good Muslim girl who had never had a sip of alcohol, a drag from a cigarette or kissed a boy. It all happened very fast. I held out the bouquet, then took his free hand in mine and kissed it as I bowed down . . . I felt like I was on a cloud. Then he patted her head.
In that one moment, Khadafy had indeed marked Soraya as special. And soon she would disappear completely.
What happened to Soraya is recounted in Annick Cojeans staggering new book, Gaddafis Harem: The Story of a Young Woman and the Abuses of Power in Libya (Grove Press). In the aftermath of the 2011 revolution and killing of Khadafy by a rebel militia, Soraya spent days recounting her ordeal to French journalist Cojean.
I will never forget what it felt like to watch her relive certain crucial moments of her life, Cojean writes, the horror of which hasnt left her.
The day after Sorayas presentation to Khadafy, three members of his famed all-female militia came looking for her.

I’m so sick of blowhards in Washington DC thinking they have the right to be ‘oh so gracious’ with OUR money... how dare they...
How? Simple. The collective “WE” proved last November that we will vote for anything they tell us to. So they have no fear. Why should they? They have so many little online helpers to ensure we don’t stop and think for 2 seconds.
And when someone does, the long knives fly out.
WANT.
The key to the Bible story of the battle(court) between God and Satan(Lucifer).
We have 'free will'. We can choose good or evil.
Lucifer told God that only his 'interference' in man's affairs forced man to worship God. Lucifer said without the interference, man would turn to something (someone) else.
God gives man what he needs. Lucifer offered man what he 'wants'. Guess what 'man' chooses most?
Similarly, The TEMPTATION scene between Jesus and the Devil(the 'what I want' part of Jesus) was Jesus trying to tell us that we will each have to deal with the same TEMPTATION.
When we choose what we want over what we need, we are 'worshipping' the devil , we are committing 'evil'.
I think that we're on the same track, and what I'm saying may be redundant, but I think it's important enough to repeat.
All the 'evil' in the world is found in one place, and one place only. Inside us. If we let it rule over the good in us, we become (dominated by) evil.
Ghaddafi was offered all he could see, if he would let evil desires rule his soul, and he did. Many have, many are doing it right now. Most of them are our elected leaders.
Probably not. But I heard he might be interested in being raped by 55 year old Muslim men.
Well... that explains WHY they were doing it.
Nightmares tonight for sure!
Oh, the elitists’ children are brainwashed and degraded as much as the public screwel attending children. Look at Chelsea Clinton and 0buttatollah’s kids.
Homeschooling children is vital to creating a decent and rational future population.
I’ve had TV 2 years my entire adult life and watch no movies, listen to/watch revolting or degrading entertainment, get my news from FR and links, same thing with purchases (we’re so broke don’t do much of that anyway...)
I write letters to the editor often, gave Bracken’s trilogy to our County Sheriff, attend public meetings where he’s speaking and ask questions and let him know he has support (he’s a great constitutionalist). I’ve printed copies of Bracken’s articles for public meetings for others. I try talking to people when I can (don’t go out much, asthma). I figure if everyone who sees the problems does whatever he can do, large or small, change will happen.
Some can do more, some can do less. But everyone who wants to can do something.
Norm, have you been reading the Egyptian Live threads?
I think their method is the one we need to implement. Just need to confer before hand, the way their “rebellion” leaders did, and get a sizeable bunch of the mil on our side.
National strike tossed in for good measure, since our country is more spread out.
