The most unexpected result to come out of day 9 of the State of Florida v. George Zimmerman, the day the State finished presenting its witnesses, was not Trayvon Martins mothers claim that it was her sons screams heard on the 911 call. That was to be expected.
The rambling, occasionally absurd testimony of medical examiner Shiping Bao did not surprise, either. Nor did defense attorney Mark OMaras cogent appeal that Zimmerman be acquitted given the States failure to make a convincing case of his guilt.
What was most intriguing, at least from the perspective of how the media corrupted this case, was the States failure to call Witness No. 5, Mary Cutcher, the most visible and outspoken of all the eyewitnesses.
The State did call her roommate, a blonde Colombian named Selma Mora. As Mora admitted, she and Cutcher did not see anything until after the shot was fired. When Mora did look out, she saw Zimmerman on top of Martin.
This revelation may have fired up the uninformed, but it only confirmed what Zimmerman told the Sanford PD that first night about the sequence of events.
At this point, Zimmerman said about the moment after the shot was fired, I slid out from underneath him and got on top of the suspect holding his hands away from his body.
Zimmerman never said otherwise. What made Moras testimony worth discussing is not what she said, but that the State chose her to say it. The prosecution did not call Cutcher.
In the 6-week-long hysteria between Martins shooting and Zimmermans arrest, Cutcher was everywhere. It was she who floated the theme that the police were ignoring those eyewitnesses whose testimony challenged Zimmermans innocence..................

I just think it would continue to establish the pattern...that he initially didn’t id the voice...but now can....just like Trayvon’s brother...and just like the me can now suddenly ma ke more conclusions about the case.
I understand its risky. The cop who played the tape for him is Serino, a prosecution witness. So if Poppa Martin calls him a liar...is all of his testimony suspect?
Bottom line, the prosecution didn’t want to call him...which makes me believe he would hurt them more than help.
Believe it or not, blonde Hispanics with bigguns exist.
mostly blonde by Clairol
Should have got John Edwards in there to channel him for us.
I’ve never heard of her.
There are numerous witnesses the state didn’t call that would be helpful to the defense, including the former Sanford Chief of police Bill Lee and special prosecutor Angela Corey’s lead investigator Dale Gilbreath, both of whom have stated there wasn’t enough evidence to charge Zimmerman with murder.
Amazing how people lie. And the mother of this witness is really a liar.
these witnesses seem to think it is a performance rather than testimony and it is their 15 minutes of fame
stupid court tv
Someone fill me in......these two are "roommates?"
Bedroom mates.
“Roommates”?.......Probably a bit more than that.
I might be wrong, but didn’t Serino already testify that Tracey denied that the screams were those of his son???
If he hasn’t then he will be recalled this week and state that to the court and Tracey and the prosecutors will have to sit there and take it because they are the ones who left Tracey off the stand in their case and did so for fear that he will get torn apart.
NOPE -- a guilty verdict would strengthen their hand and empower the ferals who listen to him that racism is alive and well in America and the Zimmerman verdict proves it.
She was the scheme team’s first and most visible witness that got the whole lynch mob riled up with her claims of a “child crying for help” and in the end the state didn’t find her believable enough to parade her a** on the witless stand in their case.
>> ...the prostitution...
Heh. How apt a description for that politically motivated clown show.
Aren’t they cute together — two little lyin lesbians.
