The morning after Independence Day, Fox & Friends' fill-in hosts examined a 4th of July beer had that apparently has drawn the ire of some God-loving American conservatives. The commercial, played in its entirely on Fox, shows a bartender quoting the Declaration of Independence while pouring a Sam Adams. The problem? He neglects to mention that Americans' "unalienable rights" were "endowed by their creator."
As host Clayton Morris explained, Sam Adams was simply obeying the the Beer Institute's guidelines on not using religion in commercials ...
Jesse Watters wasn't quite so understanding. "When political correctness takes over the beer advertising industry, the terrorists have won," he declared ...

Or incremental.
No problem, or as in the case of Venus de Milo, no ‘arm done.
First off, Jessie Waters is a goof.
More to the point though, this may well be the first time many people in the USA have actually heard those words from the Declaration of Independence. And leaving those three words out changes the entire context of the phrase.
The whole idea being that it’s our Creator who has granted those unalienable rights, as opposed to the government. If the government granted those rights, they can take them away.

I’m with you. Now we have to find a brewer that is more America-friendly.
Here’s one:

Lol
Yuengling - America’s Oldest Brewery (pronounced - ying-ling)
Yuengling Lager is far better than Sam Adams. Out sells SA nationally while only sold in about 10 -12 states.
I drink Yeungling—but is the ownership/management conservative?
2010: Dick Yeungling contributed to a Pottstown Pubbie and a RAT. Plays both sides.

In short it is the greatest absurdity to suppose it in the power of one or any number of men at the entering into society, to renounce their essential natural rights, or the means of preserving those rights when the great end of civil government from the very nature of its institution is for the support, protection and defence of those very rights: the principal of which as is before observed, are life liberty and property. If men through fear, fraud or mistake, should in terms renounce and give up any essential natural right, the eternal law of reason and the great end of society, would absolutely vacate such renunciation; the right to freedom being the gift of God Almighty, it is not in the power of Man to alienate this gift, and voluntarily become a slave--
2d. The Rights of the Colonists as Christians--
These may be best understood by reading--and carefully studying the institutes of the great Lawgiver and head of the Christian Church: which are to be found clearly written and promulgated in the New Testament--

Cordially,
Pottstown or Pottsville?
He contributed to Rep Holden who was a pretty conservative Dem in a district that no Republican could win. I may be wrong but I think he voted against Pelosi for Speaker. He was pro-life and pro-gun. I’ve contributed to him also. He was re-districted and lost primary to a real Lib from Scranton area.
That’s not as bad as a commercial I saw some years ago—I don’t recall the product—but it featured a chorus singing the hymn “Kumbayah”—only instead of “Kumbayah, my Lord,” they sang, “Kumbayah, my friends.”
Pottsville—typing too fast for my brain.
Sounds good—I have always liked the beer!
Sounds goodI have always liked the beer!
...as I said on another thread about this topic...there’s nothing better...
Anywhere I go, people hear I am from PA and they bring up Yeungling.
Funny story my brother and his friend decided they were going to go to the Yuengling brewery one day as a daytrip... they didn’t look much into it and figured when they got there they could ask anyone for directiins to the brewery.
Off they went... only problem was when they arrived... nobody knew what they were talking about... they drove to Pottstown... not Pottsville.
