“A kid was accused of stabbing a basset hound and there was no evidence.”
Well, Z is charged with shooting a hound and there doesn’t seem to be any evidence that says it was manslaughter.

Not a shock, she doesnt want the verdict on her hands..she knows what will happen to her and her family if she did the right thing..she wants it on the jurys hands not hers Yup. Unfortunately the all-woman jury no doubt also fear for the safety of their families, which is why this case should never have been brought to trial.

That judge is clearly on the side of prosecution.

Geroge’s uncle also said that was George yelling for help. He did not know the tape was going to be played and he hadn’t heard it before.

Question: If the judge did dismiss the case... I think she fully understands that if she dismisses the case her home address will probably be tweeted to the angry mobs by the NBP or someone.
I doubt she wants that.

This judge is doing everything she can to stick it to Zimmerman. Just about every argument is decided in favor of the prosecution.

This is a normal procedure near the end of a trial. Rarely does it work, although from what I have heard of this trial, it might have a real chance of being granted! It is clear that if there had been no racial component to this trial that it would have never been prosecuted!

The prosecution and judge are trying to prove GZ innocent to avoid the riots thanks to Obama declaring him guilty.

I must have missed something. What was the excuse given by the witness as to how a cursive letter was written which was attributed to her? Did she ever admit that she didn’t write it? Who did she say wrote it? Did the defense press her on this? Or did they simply let it go after she said she couldn’t read it?

If the Jury finds him not guilty, no further STATE charges can be filed in this case.

A “not guilty” verdict would be the brass ring. No further charges can be filed in this case. It’s over.

Some research would have to be done through past threads, but the true writer was named in testimony. The defense moved on from there. They might bring it up in closing arguments to further destroy the credibility of precious beauty queen Rachel.

I didn’t expect it to happen
I don’t follow trials, so I don’t know if this happens ‘all the time’

While this is pretty much SOP, I think I would have refrained from making such a motion just in case someone needs to come in and argue, as grounds for appeal, the lack of competent and zealous defense (which I don't think is the case at all, personally). Just a thought.

Just about every argument is decided in favor of the prosecution. How embarrassed is this judge gonna be when any conviction in this case will not just be overturned on appeal, but overturned "with extreme prejudice" against such a one-sided, compromised judge.
