That’s a very good word for her actions. I’d be willing to eat my hat that the Florida Bar nor their Supreme Court (or whomever does Judicial Misconduct complaints) will throw her out.

She is known in the area for ruling in favor of Prosecutors.

It’s not just this case.

I wouldn’t count on the Florida Bar to take action with respect to even criminal activity by an attorney. When I lived in Florida I went to a prominent and strongly recommended attorney who required a huge up front retainer. I paid the retainer. The attorney immediately stopped communicating with me. No responses to emails, phone calls, letters. Turns out the attorney represented a business client who was a friend of the individual I wanted to sue. He told the attorney not to sue so the attorney dropped me, kept the money and wouldn’t communicate to me. I spoke to another attorney about filing a complaint with the bar. The new attorney told me not to bother. He said the first attorney had so much political power in the state the bar wouldn’t touch him if he stood in front of the court house and shot someone in cold blood on national television. He essentially stole $3000 from me. All I got was the original consultation of 45 minutes when he said he would take my case.

No justice in Florida.
