Republicans from Texas Senator Ted Cruz to House Foreign Affairs Chairman Ed Royce have pounced on statements like these, increasingly seeing Patterson as the key implementer for a policy that at least offers tacit support to the Muslim Brotherhood..............She's just doing what Obama dictated.

It didn't help Patterson's standing when she met with senior Brotherhood officials, the Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and his deputy Khairat Al-Shater. For some liberal Egyptians, this was seens as nothing less than conspiring with the enemy. Now Egyptian protesters are carrying signs with the ambassador's face crossed out..........She better get the hell out of Egypt soon.

She's just doing what Obama dictated. With respect, that's her job. An ambassador is there to represent the policies of the government which sent him.
If Ms. Patterson is representing bad policies, that problem points right back to the head of government who sent her: Barack Hussein Soetoro 0dinga Whatever 0bama.

She does need to close the embassy and leave. We don’t need another dead ambassador.

"Some say that street action will produce better results than elections," Patterson said. "To be honest, my government and I are deeply skeptical." They weren't a bit skeptical during the chaos of the "Arab Spring." These people are unbelievable.

Patterson’s predicament is emblematic of American policy in the Mideast for the past sixty years. For the most part it is confusing, has alienated the majority of the regions population and has not benefited the United States. The reality is that oil will find its way to American shores as long as we have the hard currency to pay. The sellers must market their oil or they will wither and die. There will never again be a successful OPEC boycott.

She isn’t safe right now and should get out. Prayerfully she has the wisdom not to wait for an Obama transport or count on his protection. Of course they may be suggesting she stand down and wait till things cool off. Is Obama willing to sacrifice another ambassador in an attempt to save face for the MB?

Look, Patterson likely got the ambassador job simply because she was good at bundling campaign cash for Obama. In other words, probably no real world experience that would otherwise qualify her for being America's representative to an important ally. Therefore, Patterson, with precious little experience, was acting in the direct interest of Obama.
Heck, Obama himself basically dislodged Mubarak. Obama then handed his buddy Morsi billions in US taxpayer aid.
This mess is solely the result of the Kenyan Marxist.
Libya, Syria, Egypt, the US economy, ObamaCare. How much more evidence is required to see that Obama is an international DISASTER.

"Some say that street action will produce better results than elections . . ."If you are talking about fair and honest elections, I would tend to agree with Anne Patterson and her skepticism.
But if you are talking about the sham elections which have become the rule at the national and many state levels with voter rolls full of the dead, disqualified, illegal aliens, zombie and multiple voters . . . then the people of Egypt have ever right to mistrust the process. And so do we.
