Here’s something interesting, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t exist outside of FR.
Back in the nineties I was a member of a group run by Fred Cohen. One member was an American government critter stationed in Europe (Germany).
His work consisted of getting all of the newspaper news before it went to print, and then to censor or change thhe material as he saw fit. I don’t think this guy had any diplomatic standing or anything, strictly under-the-table. He was somewhat smacked for talking out of turn.
They're also all about spying on foreigners now.
