Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark OMara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witnessremember, the States witnessthat all but completely guts the States charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. The sense given is that Zimmerman demonstrated endless patience. (continue reading summary)

See post 753.
She did the same thing in the threads about the Japanese nuclear plant meltdown. We had some great contributors and nuclear engineers providing excellent commentary until she started in with the end of the world crap. She just wouldn’t let it go and the experts left after a couple days.
WFTV has confirmed that autopsy results show 17-year-old Trayvon Martin had injuries to his knuckles when he died.
Is there any way the defense can get this into evidence?
The undertaker had lied about this early on?
Apparently not. See #724.
I know this was mentioned on the threads ,but not sure if it was yesterday or today.
MAYBE what Rachel heard was Trayvon hiding behind and brushing by the WET BUSHES, which George said he ‘thought’ that Trayvon suddenly came from out of the darkness ? ? ?
>> Same place one learns about pry bars, crow bars, hammers, crescent wrenches, rachets, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, batteries, antifreeze, gasoline, oil...
Ah. You attended reform school auto mechanics training course! :-)
It is nothing but a side show per WFTV B. S. (legal analyst) and all over the ice cream pic on Facebook by Wests daughters saying “We Beat Stupidity.”
I’ve always hated the way my voice sounds on tape. I sound like a little kid. And I’ve been told I sound much younger on the phone. So yeah, it makes sense that Z would say that. But to the left, that doesn’t fit into their agenda of “Hang Zimmerman”.
Can a jury bring back a guilty verdict out of fear for the lives? Do they have to explain to anyone why they decided the way they did? I'm just thinking about one comment I heard on tv, that 'a boy was killed after a wannabecop got out and followed him and someone needs to pay for that.' When I heard that, it stayed with me because I think that is exactly what the jury will ultimately feel whether the defense LEGALLY proved GZ innocent of all charges. I think the jury is looking for any reason at all to convict GZ....they are in genuine fear of their own and families lives.
[I heard enough to know it was a problem.]
...and we have seen enough of your screaming to determine what YOUR problem is so put down that bottle of Captian Morgans Rum and take a nap.
I can understand the need to be very skeptical of every self-defense homicide. Otherwise, spouses, strangers, everyone could just go on a killing spree. I could maybe even understand thinking that each should be tried in court just to send the message that this is no easy route to take to get away with murder
But when the evidence becomes insurmountable justice should override convention and the trial should be called
This is such a time, and it is unethical for the peoples’s prosecutor to hope to confuse a jury as a means of “winning”
I’d just ask her if her son is in the courtroom? She could point to GZ and I would say, “I have no further questions.”
IIRC one of Zimmerman’s best and life long friends is black. I believe I heard him interviewed on the radio last year. I would simply ask him if he knows GZ and what his relationship with him was. After he said “we are lifelong friends” I would say, OK, I have no further questions.
And if you’ve ever locked your keys in your car (I haven’t, personally. Honest. lol)...it would come in real handy.
Statements of a party are not hearsay by definition. They are party admissions. The theory being that the party is present in the courtroom and can testify about the statements.
And he could also ask “Has your son ever volunteered his time to tutor black kids?”. Case closed.
I haven't been able to listen to the whole testimony today.
I heard mention of SLIM JIM, and AWNING.
Is there a SLIM JIM being presented as evidence ?
I had never heard of there being any SLIM JIM at the site of the struggle or anywhere around.
Yep. Me to
I must of missed it...what did they say??
