Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark OMara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witnessremember, the States witnessthat all but completely guts the States charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. The sense given is that Zimmerman demonstrated endless patience. (continue reading summary)

I have been watching the trial this morning and I can’t believe the bias coming from the reporters when they go to break! Even on Fox, they are clinging to any little detail that they can twist to make Zimmerman look guilty as hell. Like he cold heartedly followed and murdered Trayvon. And they are continuously showing that picture of the 14 year old angel Trayvon. It is sickening! Makes me worry that all this is going to end very bad for Zimmerman and our sense of fairplay and justice in this country.
I know you are being piled on, and that it’s justified, but let’s go back to basics.
The ‘getting out of the van’ scenario is not important, has nothing to do with the fact that Martin was beating Zimmerman senselessly.
HOWEVER, it IS the PROSECUTION’s KEY ... and ONLY ‘evidence’ in the entire case, so far.
It really is the only thing they can use to try to fool the jury.
Osterman doesn’t want to use the word “m*********” — so Bernie uses it for him
Too much
It is advertised as juice, not tea. Not that it really matters. The comments were TIC.

Thanks, get lost on this trial sometimes.
It’s a SHOW TRIAL.
Charges weren’t filed because they knew they couldn’t prove their case.
But it become politicized in an election year and charges were filed anyway for votes.
Now the prosecutor is doing what he can with what he’s got. They (city leaders) also hoping a trial with a jury will placate the potentially riotous masses. But it won’t.
For those who, like me need some background on who this Osterman is
Yeah, but it keeps bringing up the fact that Martin tried to smother Zimmerman to death. The only reason he couldn’t continue was because Martin tried to go for Zimmerman’s gun.
Please stop yelling.
If Zimmerman is convicted and given ANY time in prison, it will serve as fair warning by the left in America to ANY of us henceforth. That warning being...if you are confronted by a black person you better run like hell and don’t even think about trying to defend yourself by shooting and killing them or you’re gonna do time. That will be the dog-whistle message to all, should Z be convicted of self-defense.
Why not? It's what they do, all the time. Mislead.
Bernie beating his own witness
How appropriate
Yesterday a couple of talking heads on Fox flat out called GZ a liar. In reference to comments made by TM during the struggle.
The only absolute way to know is by looking at the recorded subdivision map. There are plenty of owners in these units that have never seen their subdivision map or read the restrictions.
IANAL but a cursory review of the exceptions to the hearsay rule indicate:
d) a writing about an event made close to the time it occurred, which may be used during trial to refresh a witness’s memory about the event;
I could be off in left field, but this guy wrote a book.
So confused, this seems like hearsay, why is it being allowed.
Same here. Although I can understand the confusion. FWIW, George Zimmerman does look like he got hit in the face with a bag of skillets, tho.
