Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark O’Mara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witness–remember, the State’s witness–that all but completely guts the State’s charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. After you get your bell rung, it takes you a few minutes, seconds at least, to get your wits about you. In the meantime, he is completely overtaken and dominated by TM.
Plus she tacitly admitted she was prepped for testimony.
Very skillfully done by O'Mara, hope the jury caught it.

I hope defense ask their witness if injuries could have been enough to loose consciousness. If Z had lost consciousness, Treyvon could have easily killed him....

That is correct. Judge cited a number of cases on that point.
Bear in mind that usually, the police will be claiming defendant is lying. O'Mara mentioned that he'd like time to reseach the law, but I'm going to guess there are no precedents that fit a wrongful prosecution situation - truly innocent person taken into court with no evidence contrary to his claim.

Thanks. I read that the detective said it looked like a piece of the awning, and found behind the bushes, which is coincidentally where I usually find those arched pieces of thin aluminum or steel after they come loose.
Every prisoner was a murder victim, for revenue purposes. Today Z was not hit more than once fore revenue purposes, as well.
