Former CIA director and retired four-star general General David Petraeus applauds as he makes his first public speech since resigning as CIA director at University of Southern California dinner for students Veterans and ROTC students on March 26, 2013 in Los Angeles, California. Petraeus apologized in his speech for his actions that lead to him resigning from the CIA.
He'll also have graduate students to assist him with "course research, administration, and grading" and will receive "limited additional funds for travel to professional meetings as a representative of CUNY," Gawker reports thanks to e-mails gleaned from a FOIL request. Petraeus also has a teaching gig at USC and a job with the private-equity group KKR. David Petraeus is doing okay.
He must have a good business agent.
Quite a good reason to STFU.Promotion and bribe is the Mafia way.
At least he knows something about something. How many other CUNY instructors have the same deal in women’s studies or baltic art ?
Or one of Obama supporters is underwriting this excessive income to
keep Betrayus quite.
And we wonder why the cost of tuition is so high...
Who does he think he is, Elizabeth Warren?
Not a good acronym for the general at this time...
Sounds like a payoff for keeping quiet.
Now he has access to all those young students... time to write another book.
Just so you know you’re not daring at all, musicman.
These extravagant fees paid for minimal work, is just one of many dumb things universities do so that tuition rates keep going up and up, off the chart. To a university president today “reasonableness” is a four letter word.
Petraeus is no saint but the man is brilliant. They may consider it to be money well spent.
I just don’t know what to think about this anymore.
Sigh.
the infowarrior
Panetta received $3,000,000 to go quietly. Hillary received somewhere between $12,000,000 and $24,000,000 to bow out. Petraeus, as usual, screwed the pooch. He’s getting peanuts AND he’ll actually have to show up for work. A mere amateur Democrat.
