Why is this jamoke testifying? I though they weren’t going to allow voice analysis?
He is actually a defense witness, who will testify that it is nearly impossible to determine who did the yelling from the recording. The Prosecution has called him in an attempt to appear “open”. The Prosecution’s star audio analyst was disallowed because of his use of dubious pseudosciene, through which he determined that TM did the screaming.
The prosecution has employed this strategy many times, calling the defense’s witness in order to get in pre-emptive questions to discredit the defense, then trying to dismantle their own witness on re-direct after the Defense gets helpful testimony.
The jury has to be going “What...the....hell...???”. This guy’s testimony is, so far, unintelligible and incomprehensible as to the point he’s hopefully going to arrive at. I think the state is hoping to baffle them with bullshit on this one...lol.
And now the witness is discounting his own analysis on this voice comparison case. Again, the prosecution appears to be working against itself. But since I don’t trust them, I suspect they must have something up their sleeves on this particular bit of testimony.
LOL @ “jamoke”, I’m adding that to my vocabulary. BTW an ad on dictionary.com tells me that sale-fire.com has the best prices and fast shipping on “jamoke” so there’s that too.
“Why is this jamoke testifying? I though they werent going to allow voice analysis?”
The prosecution wanted their “voice analysis experts” to testfy to say the voice is definitely TM’s. It sounds like this witness is saying that it cannot be determined who’s voice it is for sure.
If you listen to the recording, it sounds like it belongs to a young person. The prosecution, of course, wants it to be TM. That’s why he’s saying you can’t tell what age it is for sure.
Strange though, that when TM’s father heard it, he said it was NOT TM’s voice. Once their attorney Crump got involved, he changed his mind and said it’s TM.
