Day 16 (Week #4) Zimmerman Trial – Witness Discussion Thread
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | July 1, 2013 | Sundance

Today, July 1st, is DAY #16 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Last week the prosecution feebly presented the first series of witnesses against George Zimmerman. However, as most observers would note, the witnesses called by the state have so far been more beneficial for the Zimmerman Self-Defense position.

People might say the word “suspect” when in reality there is a correct word for what they mean, and it’s “subject”. IF you say “the subject” did this or that, there’s no possible way to criticize, spin or misinterpret the meaning. The subject is who you are watching, or talking to or zeroed in on, for a reason. He’s the object of your attention. If he actually becomes a crime suspect, then that usage becomes proper.

People can SAY anything, but it could be an incorrect term for what they really mean.

Just sayin’...there is a correct term. For example, if you’re a security officer that enforces certain rules to secure a facility, you will have your eye out for people who might catch your attention as possible violating a security rule, but not at that point a suspect in any crime. And if you followed training procedure, you would CALL them a subject in verbal communications and ditto when you write up a report.

They’ll never put him on the stand because he could say something that opens up stuff from his past like the fighting with the ex where both got restraining orders, and even though it was dropped, it’s not good to have that out to a jury that is probably looking for a way out and to convict in order to appease the mob.

When the trial is over George can step up to the microphones outside and say “I’d like to thank the prosecution. Oh, yeah, and my lawyers too.” LOL

You know the witness for T-Mobile, Raymond MacDonald? I worked with him for Law Enforcement Relations projects. We worked with the DEA, the NYPD, FBI, etc. to streamline the process of responding to subpoenas for information. I left there two years ago for my home in central KY.

We had a myriad of data sources from which to pull all sorts of data. We were required by law to save it for at least 7 years. Though the data was frighteningly detailed, voice call content was not part of it.

Now, in the last two years things may have changed, so my information becomes antiquated with every passing year.

I’m “suspecting” that this Doris Singleton was not intendeed to be the second witness today. Sybrina was going to be testifying about the scream until Nakasone testified and did not give the prosecution the testimony that they wanted.

I hope Zimmerman ends up owning ABC & NBC. They know damn well what they are doing to him!

Obama himself started alot of this with his ignorant comment...and Jackson/Sharp!

It's break time until 1:30. I fell asleep just after the forensic expert.

I tried to stay awake but got so s.l.e.e.p.y during his testimony.

I heard that Trayvon's body was in morgue two days after the event. That he roamed around between parents and that each thought he was with the other one.

Anybody know if that is true?

I wonder if they will now leave Zimmerman off the stand since they have already heard his words.

Almost certainly. He can’t be cross examined.

The state is. The state and judge KNOW he is innocent but were forced, politically, to try him

And when the President of the United States inserted himself into this, it was just over top, as he was clearly attempting to sway opinion and hang Z in the public square, before the trial ever started..

Obama should have never done this and his motives for doing so could not be any clearer.

I’m not watching anything, just reading along on the thread. According to posts here it sounds like it was all shown on CNN. Others will have to confirm. GZ can be the king of Floriduh and own all the major networks when this is over.

When the prosecution rests its case, the defense should move for a directed verdict of “not guilty”. The motion should be granted. If it is not granted, we’ll have a good indication of just how corrupt the judge is.

I figure the state is still going to call Sybrina, but after hearing this witness say that testimony can be tainted by group-think, it wants to put some distance between that being disclosed, and Sybrina.

George called him a suspect because he considered Treyvon a suspect to robberies in his neighborhood....
