A call to both repentence and conversion.

In our darkest moments as a nation, we have always relied on our moral foundation to keep us from falling too far.

imo, the author assumes a fact no longer in evidence.

“Today, I call upon pastors to fall down on their knees with me in repentance of our own sins and the sins of our nation and trust that it is not too late for God to hear and answer from heaven.”

Here’s a better idea.

Participate in the damn political process!!

What do people think, that God is going to clean up our mess? Just sit back and pray, and watch 40 years of ineptitude get cleared up like that?

No wonder the left keeps winning. Our side is too timid, too lazy, and too willing to let it all go to crap with the expectation that heaven will open up and do the dirty work.

Pastors have exchanged their ‘higher calling’, for things such as status in the local society, increasing the church coffers to pursue their own desires, placing everything of great value - under ‘their ministry’, so as to openly declare they ‘do not own it’, and finally, getting that piece of paper from the federal government with the characters “503c” on it - thereby giving the IRS a toehold to silence future dissident speech. They have made the pulpit a commercial entity. Quite a few have come to resemble the old feared French Cardinals, but in suits instead of clerical outfits.

We know who we are. We mostly live in the Red States. We need to leave the degenerates to their fate and not let them drag us down with them.

I’m afraid Christianity is falling big time. Add to that those who claim to be Christians yet dance with the devil.

I've heard about something like this...

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name,
shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways; ,

then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin,
and will heal their land.
