Earlier this year, Jeb Bush told ABC that both his father George H.W. Bush, and brother George W. recommended he run for president in 2016. Mama Barbara Bush is not keen on the idea, declaring in April that the nations probably had enough Bushes.
But in the constantly shifting equations of potential Republican hopefuls for future president and vice president, the former Florida governors name has been tied with another former governor: Sarah Palin.
The pair have now been framed as a the GOPs only chance in the race by American Thinker contributor Michael Sheppard.
Would Jeb Bush have as good a chance, or better, than any other prospective GOP candidate? Most certainly he might. As a popular governor of Florida, married to a Hispanic, and who garnered a good proportion of the Hispanic vote, Bush would be in a strong position to carry the state, he says, reasoning that Mr. Bush, as a southern governor, could also hold sway in Virginia and appeal to Iowa evangelicals and centrist voters in New Hampshire.
Should Hillary Clinton emerge as the Democratic candidate, it could also improve Mr. Bushs electability. Then there is the Palin factor, Mr. Sheppard says. She brings ardent fans with her, of course.
A Jeb Bush/president - Sarah Palin/vice-president ticket covers all the Electoral College, Evangelical, pro-life, centrist-conservative, experienced governorships, male/female bases, he notes.....

Jeb Bush?
Aw, HELL no!!!!!!
You really don’t know Rubio at all. You presume that Marco McSchumer was one of us. But this was planned from the beginning. Before he ran for the Senate, he was for amnesty. When he said he wasn’t, he lied. He played down his pro-illegal feelings so that he could get in good with TEA party people. Then he plotted with McCain and Schumer to play conservatives like a fiddle.
His payment wasn’t money alone, he would have gotten money from the GOPe for just being a token hispanic republican. His payment was the promise that they, the GOPe, would support him when we realized what a traitorous liar he was and turned on him.
You are absolutely correct. Foreign born, with a Cuban father, he is not NBC. I can understand why people want him to run. He’s a brilliant conservative, but if he is as smart as I think, I doubt he will ever run for president. He has too many foreign (Canada and Cuba) sovereignties to give allegiance to. (Not that I think he would.)
Palin YES
Bush NO
Jeb Bush ... Hillary Clinton ... both fawned over ideologies of “American Royalties”.
Jeb Bush has no place in my mind or heart, since he has spoken more of a Communist, than a free-thinking American.
Hillary Clinton IS a Communist, period.
I do think that Sarah Palin has more in her corner than either of those two.
Let’s see what January 2014 brings, then go from there.
I’d hold my nose and vote for Palin/Bush. Not so for Bush/Palin. Jeb Bush is supposedly the smart one. I’ve seen little evidence to support such a contention. He doesn’t have an original thought in his head.
I’m not sure about Christie.
On one hand, he is everything I dislike about East Coast conservatives: not very conservative.
Sometimes however, he nails it.
I think I will choose to reserve judgement on Chris.
Bingo! That's the ticket.
The GOP is a barrier, no matter who it chooses and it won’t be Palin. It will be Jeb Bush. He will be NO improvement over the kenyan beyond cosmetically. He will be no better for us than Mrs.Clinton would be except that he is tribally “one of ours.”
Well, I am glad you know Rubio so well, you shoulda warned folks since you had the inside scoop.
Glad to see a realistic person post truth.
Nothing inside about it. All you had to do is pay attention to everything he said. Remember, he was against Jan Brewer and the Arizona immigration laws. I tried to warn people. Same as I did concerning Charlie Crist before him, but sometimes people get so excited about their dream candidates, they don’t want to listen. Living in Florida, I know that if it has anything to do with the republican party in Florida, it’s probably full stealth RINO. I’ll continue to warn people, maybe now they’ll listen.
Forget the Jeb Bush part. Before they said Palin had no chance, now it is Palin is the only chance. It is moving in the right direction.
Just hearing the name of any “Bush” makes me want to regurgitate. The GOP just keeps shooting itself in the arse again and again. The GOP has become the perennial loser time and again.
How else are we supposed to know what the world is up to if we don’t post articles from all over the spectrum? If this place was meant to be an echo chamber for just rah-rah blogs and friendly articles about how we’re AWESOME and all the Leftists are pedophile baby-killing morons, I am no longer interested.
Why are all the people in the Bush family so scared of Sarah Palin? Could it be her anti-cronyism, her populism, her tell-it-like-it-is honesty or her Reaganite brand of conservatism mixed with common-sense libertarianism? Whatever it is, it has the elites quaking in their boots and p*ssing their pants. Hilarious!
I don’t know how this thread slipped by me, but the title is absolutely hilarious.
