Today, June 28th, is DAY #15 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. [Yesterday] … it was simply not a very good day at all for the prosecution. The primary State witnesses today were Rachel Jeantel, Jenna Lauer, and Selma Mora.
The first had her credibility substantively destroyed, the second was powerfully–almost humiliatingly–co-opted by the defense, and the third provided testimony entirely consistent with the defense’s theory of lawful self-defense. (continue reading)

I think he would too but with that video he really does not have to take the stand.
The George in that video says it all.
I guess the defense would have to put GZ on the stand to get this admitted as evidence? O heard some mouth saying that the pros would “tear him up” in cross examination.
Note that he was nowhere near the “mail thing” — at the nearest maybe 20 to 30 feet away — but never stopped there.

It was taken by the Sanford police and all the people you see in the video are police officers including demoted detective Serino.
She only knows what she was told. She still doesn’t realize the significance of her statement that he’d made it to the back of daddy’ s house
That must be the point of the Judges statement to Hannity. He actually interrupted to state it. ALL police records ,evidence etc must be presented by the prosicution. How do we find the video from last night show. He even gives the case history in support ! Florida TV judge Alex Ferrerr
IANAL but I know of no reason why the police video could not be admitted as evidence by the defense.
The prosecution has not finished their case yet. They need to “lose their losers” at some point, and they have not seemed to be shy about calling Z-supporting witnesses. Maybe the prosecution will present the video as well, and then call some police who helped take the video to try to refute it. Not presenting the video makes the prosecution seem like it has something to hide once the defense presents it, and then calls the police to ask them why they declined to charge Z.
yes. the last 5 minutes or so are the best part as it really fills in alot of the information.
Her problem is that the more she is forced to talk on the stand the more she unknowingly “snitches” like when she said regarding TM hanging up the phone to give GZ a beatdown:
“if he was going to do that, he would have told me he would call me back”.
That implies that he has done that before and that she knew the proper protocol for a beatdown — hang up the phone first and then call back after it’s over.
She acknowledged that TM knew the protocol as he must have done this on a regular basis in the past. I think in this case though that he let her or whoever was on the phone listen to it.
The last words heard on that phone were not “get off” but “help” — and the defense will prove it. And that will not bode well for her.
Having very intimate knowledge of a girl JUST like DeeDee/RJ, I understand completely what you are stating here hoosiermama. It was the reason I flipped after seeing her the first day she was up there, and recognized immediately that the filthy crump et al should be held on charges for their abuse of her!
UC, yes, she is in the web of deceit that effects GZ and I have tremendous empathy for him, however, it in no way discounts HOW she came to be in the position that crump put her in.
IF I had witnessed anyone doing anything like this to the ‘girl’ I know, I would be in GZ’s place, I am that rabid about protecting the abused from being further abused. And yes, this is a clear cut case of abuse of her from beginning to end. It makes me sick.
At this point my prayer is that somehow O’Mara knows how to flush out the truth regarding the manner in which DeeDee was used by crump and that freakin pos sybrina.
The whole thing is a great example of the multiple failing of the ‘system’ and how the so called professionals screw these kids up even more. I could go on and on, but it would all be in vain, so I won’t.

Here’s the problem:
We have a culture where the highest form of truth comes from the courtroom in the form of sworn testimony.
You and me and everybody else can think that she is abused and misused and no doubt there is some of that.
But according to her testimony in court she is not and has not been. She does and says what she wants whenever she wants and no one gonna tell her otherwise or think otherwise.
Unless she spits it out in open court on the witness stand the only thing to derive from this highest form of truth is that those are her words and no one else’s. And it has to be dealt with that way.
What’s OReilly’s take on this one? He typically sticks his finger in the wind to see which way it’s blowing and then defends his newly made opinion like his life depends on it.

The purpose of the jury , their discussion etc gives the system some latitude to weigh one testimony against another Her appears, demure , and inability to recall testimony just given weighed against the testimony of John or Jenna or Jonathan or ..... Nothing needs to be said or done
Lawyer on TV just said she neutralized herself. Didn’t help either side but because she didn’t help her side it was in fact a win for defense

Don’t know as I stopped watching him. His talking over guests, pontificating, became too much.
