People, I’m all about the facts. I have not prejudged Zimmerman and concluded him to be a murder nor have I annointed him as a victim of the racial mob led by Jessee Jackson.
The facts go where they go with me.
It is obviously clear that at some point Trayvon started beating on Zimmerman. The only crucial question in this trial, the question that answers everything is: Was Trayvon justified in beating on Zimmerman? If the answer is, “Yes,” then Zimmerman is indeed guilty of homicide. If the answer is “No,” then Zimmerman was simply defending his life with deadly violence...justifiable homicide.
I have heard nothing definitive to answer this critical question as of yet....and either have any of you.
Let’s all take a deep breath and deal with the facts as they emerge. Accounts in the media are not facts!!!!
Let’s not be like the global warming crowd and jump to some preordained conclusion.

When did you get your license to practice law in Florida?
To: Mustangman
You are incorrect, imo.
Under FL law, GZ could have actually started the fight and still legally shoot TM after trying to disengage from TM’s attempts to kill him by bashing his head on the cement.

The "preordained conclusion" in simplest terms, since you appear to know nothing whatsoever about the law in Florida, is that George Zimmerman is
innocent until the prosecution proves otherwise. Zimmerman has no burden of proof and does not have to "prove" that the assault and battery (which you actually stipulate yourself occurred) was unjustified.
Buy a clue.

Since you raised the question “Was Trayvon justified in beating on Zimmerman?” may I ask under which conditions would Martin have had the legal right to attack Zimmerman?
Specifics would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Zimmerman’s version of the story is that he admitted to following Trayvon. The dispatcher asked him to not do that.
He says he stopped and returned to his truck where Trayvon jumped him.
It will be interesting to see how Zimmerman holds up on the stand.
So far I haven’t seen anything that contradicts his story - although this has a certain vibe about it...cop wannabe runs into gangsta wannabe.

go pound sand!
You are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt in this country.
George Zimmerman is INNOCENT and this is a political show trial. Zimmerman should NEVER have been charged!

Unbiased my arse.
Why do you use the thug’s first name and the victim’s last name?
Bias much?

Oh, so you are saying that if TM was bashing him hard with his fists and then bashing his head on the concrete that GZ could not go into shock or be rendered unconscious and THEN TM can take care of biznus with Z’s own gun? How rhetoric! I heard of stories where people are killed with just one blow. I hit a dude in the gut just playing around and the dude dropped on the concrete walkway and his head bounced several times. Fortunately for me he lived. Maybe Z coulda, woulda, shoulda, but he didn't. Many potential jurors were lying, prosecution witnesses are all lying for their own personal reasons, prejudicing this trial. I felt sorry for Mrs. Manalo, as she is caught stretching her story, and becoming a joke of a witness, comparing the two with 12 yr. old pics of TM. Why? Fame or fortune or just plain meanness, but ALL the evidence right now proves it was self-defense, self preservation. I do wish Z had not pulled the trigger but maybe he was already in some sort of shock or survival mode. The gf just can't get her lies to match. Miss Surdyka it just plain nuts, doesn't know how teens voices can change, what a joke. Let's not forget the judge helping the prosecutor the best she can. Lots of reasons for a mistrial.
