Two prominent US bloggers have been banned from entering the UK, the Home Office has said.
Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer co-founded anti-Muslim group Stop Islamization of America.
They were due to speak at an English Defence League march in Woolwich, where Drummer Lee Rigby was killed.
A government spokesman said individuals whose presence "is not conducive to the public good" could be excluded by the home secretary.
He added: "We condemn all those whose behaviours and views run counter to our shared values and will not stand for extremism in any form."

“”individuals whose presence “is not conducive to the public good” are banned. So why do they let people who practice islam into the country?
Erm, he was actually born and bred in the UK.
Poor decision.
This just makes two crap bloggers martyrs, which they will play to the hilt. Let them come in and out, nobody cares about them, hell I am one of the few Brits thats even heard of them.
I know the UK has its problems, but you’d rather your grandpa was a Nazi?....lol
Good. Come to Scotland. LOL.
No thanks.
Dump both in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
The UK, like the US, is not dead, and will survive stupid govts.
two crap bloggers ?
Surely you jest
Nope.
Actually, Spencer is OK, and can see things in a bigger picture, and is readable, but Geller is just hysterical rubbish. She is dreadful, sorry. A ranting harpie.
You rate them, I dont. Or at least not Geller.
C’est la vie.
Other European nations have larger Muslim population, but do not go this far. Britain infringes freedom of expression in opposition to radical islam, but enables and protects it when violent jihad is advocated.
Why?
Because British society is in the pocket of Middle East oil money, as it has been for thirty years, from the Royal family to City bankers to London's most desirable real estate. Oil money finances Islamic political activism in Britain. Talk like Robert Spencer in London and the establishment will be down your throat.
This is pitiful for a once great nation. I guess wealthy monarchies are their Achilles Heel. In that sense it is well deserved.
Authors of some ten books among many other scholarly communications are a bit more than “bloggers” ... sad to see Britannia reduced to such dangerous pussilanimity as this.
The UK is doomed by their fears.
Hard to believe this is the same country that stood up to Hitler.
jihadists are welcome though
UK media are different in regards to Muslims. The way to the nearest insight that I can recall right now would be to watch “Lawrence of Arabia.” Well, there’s also the history of the publishing of Pickthall’s Koran in English in England. Many English language Korans have been published in the UK since 1649. The mixing between Anglo Britons and various Muslim ethnics goes way back. It’s an empire thing.
Lots of members of the German armed forces weren’t Nazis.
I think we can agree that maybe Britain wasn’t worth saving.
I will second that!
“No thanks. Dump both in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.”
That works for me! I would hate to pollute that great body of water, however.
Pam is a friend of mine . You misjudge her entirely . She is pissed because she sees , crystal clear , the advance of radical Islamist islam , in all of its shades and smells , from NYC to UK and beyond . She is also one of the staunchest supporters of the State of Israel to have the nerve and courage to speak out . That makes her a target , for all kinds . When we are up against enemies like these you have to be bold . This is not a fight for the faint of heart or mild of manner. I too am of Scots ancestry , my clan was sent out in the Clearances . I feel the courage and conviction of Wallace in my blood . If only others had that grit . Geller does . I respect her 100%
