Today, June 26th, is DAY #13 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. An explosive second day of deconstructed witness testimony took place yesterday. Which leads to the big question:
Will witness #8, Rachel Jeantel, be called to the stand today?
[Yesterday could] only be characterized as an utter debacle for the prosecution in Florida v. Zimmerman. Besides the testimony of a couple of highly professional law enforcement witnesses, the testimony of the the other State witnesses ranged from signing George Zimmermans praises, to acknowledging the utility of following a suspicious person from a distance, to being utterly discredited by razor sharp cross-examination of the defense.
Before we even get to the disaster that was the States witnesses, however, we first have to discuss this mornings hearing and the extent to which it evanescent is the States case against George Zimmerman. State: Zimmerman Is So Good, He Must Be Bad ............

She doesn’t seem to have much of a support group. Very unstable. Hope someone is staying with her. Suicide watch
I wonder if Obamafoams are exempt from NSA snooping?
Chantel is 19 and just entering her senior year of high school.
Make that Jeantel.
Special thanks to Don West today for taking his time and not rushing through his DeeDee cross examination.
We have waited so long and we want to savour every minute.
And every minute that she is up there the jurors get to see who this beloved Trayvon spent so much time on the phone with.
And Bernie is having fits over there in fear of every answer.
And while Sybrina gives this girl the death stare as if to say “Trayvon, how could you???”, Tracy is about to break out in full laughter at any time.
Please take your time tomorrow.
... or Skittles.
The judge dismissed the jury and Jeantel stood up whereupon the judge told her to sit down. Judge was pissed.
I think once the judge sees that nothing is going to save the prosecution, she will be more fair in her rulings.
She might be throwing Skittles wrappers, but she ain’t throwing away any Skittles.
She has already admitted that she didn’t care about the Crump interview — cause whe was in a rush.
And she is mad at West because he made her do more reading on the stand in one afternoon than her teachers could do in 4 years of school.
Kids talk like their parents do. By the time they get to school, barring concerted effort (i.e. immigrant emphasis on education and work ethic), it’s too late to change.
Betcha Rachel has grown up around big fat mammas who talk just like she does. I’m not convinced she could read well enough to follow the transcripts presented to her on the stand today.
Schools can’t do a good job without help from home.
Good catch -- what was that referring to??
Actually you ALWAYS want to keep the star witness on the stand until the court session ends. You want the 16 hour break to go over her testimony with a fine tooth comb and develop an attack strategy.
Don West will come back tomorrow loaded for bear. This witness is probably going to climb out of witness box and attack him before he allows her off the stand. She's already at the breaking point.
I think she was the most effective witness for the defense. To think that St. Travon was a "friend" to this moron gives you a pretty good picture of St. Travon's character. You are who you hang out with.
I really thought it was funny that she testified that Travon called Zimmerman the N Word and then described him as an effing cracker. That was the best moment in the trial. I suspect the prosecutor just lost 5 pounds in sweat off his brow when that moment occurred.
In the real world, the prosecutor would probably meet with Zimmerman's lawyers and try to work out a plea deal to something like unlawful discharge of a weapon and disturbing the peace. But this is not the real world. This is Racism TV, and the black race baiters will not be satisfied with anything less than Murder.
They don't care about "justice" they only care about "power".
Or, according to Justice Brother $harpton, Skillets.
A nineteen year old senior I question whether she can read. She had a friend help her write “ the letter”!
I’m not convinced that she could read at all
Actually the way she was looking at the transcript, I was expecting her to actually admit that she doesn't know how to read. After she stared at it for a couple of minutes, I think it was pretty clear that she was NOT reading the transcript. She was just looking at it.
Oh you just know they "was friends wit benefits". That has got to be the only reason Trayvon had anything to do with her.
She was easy, all he had to do was tell her, “I’ve got Fudge! Hershey’s Chocolate Kisses....We’re talking Haagen Dazs, baby, what do you say?”
