what, instantly deported? I call BS. Here we have a heart-string tugger of a story, timed coincidentally with the pending amnesty bill in the Senate. No real reporting there to look at how many chances she was given, if there were legal relatives to take the kids, AND WHY A HEARTLESS OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WOULD DO THIS.

Good catch. Yeah, I think something isn’t right about this story. I thought illegal aliens without criminal backgrounds were very low priority for deportation. This sounds like it’s being played for maximum effect.

BTW, the article didn’t say what document, registration or insurance verification, was expired. If it happened to be insurance, the illegal alien mother was driving without insurance. She also didn’t have a valid driver’s license.

These illegal aliens are typically involved in identity theft and a slew of other infractions. Their entire life is deception, because that’s how they manage to stay in the country. Why this needs to be pardoned is beyond me.

America shouldn’t import law breakers! If you or I engaged in many of the things they do, we’d be in jail (or worse).

I totally agree. Our country has vast numbers of illegals going through the criminal justice system on a daily basis for every crime imaginable, not to mention driving violations. Legal status means very little. Even serious felons are rarely deported. This is only a story to stir up support for the immigration bill. Even if it is true that this woman is actually being deported, it is not because it is standard procedure. She is being used to further the Obama administration goals.

BS, too. I agree.

First off, the police officer had to have a reason to take her into custody.

Second, once in custody she has a choice: Self-deport right-away (with Border Patrol assistance), or fight and claim asylum or some such plea and she would be allowed to stay until she sees an immigration judge.
