All I know is that I bought the last two boxes of my favorite 30-06 load today simply because they were there.

“That means that if less than 50 people per day in each State are buying 10 bricks of .22, it is enough to dry up the entire supply as it is being manufactured.” “

So, the manufacturing capacity for the entire US is only 500 bricks a day per State? That doesn’t pass the gut check.

How do we know that there is only the capacity to manufacture 4.3 billion rounds a year 24x7?

I am real happy I was already stocked up before the crunch, but I’d like to see a correction before I burn off a lot of my stock.

Fairly good deal on 500 loose US Mililtary Green Tip NATO LAKE CITY M855 (2013), .223/5.56 62gr, for $375. Free shipping. I ordered 2 cases. Not as good as all the cases’ prices I bought since 2002, but that was then; this is now.

Fast Link: http://ammoman.com/223-556

FYI.

I paid $4 per box of 50 for 250 rounds of 22 longs. It’s all I need in a panic market. Shot 5 bunnies off my porch the first day. The garden is bunny free now.

The brick & mortar stores will be the last to improve.

Check gunbot.net regularly. You can plot the market pretty well that way.

.223/5.56 is a lot more available and prices are edging down, albeit slowly. But the trend is there. PMC Bronze @ $9.95 a box today. More sellers are not limiting purchases.

As awful as 22LR is price wise, there is more appearing there. Prices are not improving, but availability is minutely trending better.

9mm is sky high, but the stuff is now there, much more so than a couple of months ago.

Or go to ammoseek.com daily and see how things are.

Things are getting better if you are willing to mail order your ammo. Might as well, the Feds already know who you are. Although, if/when supplies improve in the stores, I’m going back to cash only purchases.

My concern is that the fascists in DC are going to bring the panic back up to full throttle. Either we get a shooting they hype, or they engineer some sort of Reichstage event if the natural course of events doesn’t present the right opportunity.

So only 14 rounds of .22LR are manufactured for every man, woman, and child in the U.S. per year?

Thus only 8.4 million people can purchase a brik of .22LR every year.

Checked Walmart today. Plenty of 9mm, .243, and 7.62x39. No .223 or .308.
