So much for the denials. An administration that throughout its 2012 election campaign denied it was waging a War on Coal has now come out and publicly declared its intention to shut down coal-fired power plants putting hundreds of thousands of Americans out of work and sending electricity prices skyrocketing.
This is not what the American people voted for.
Responding to a White House petition to end the War on Coal, the administration said: The President has made clear that he understands that coal has played a critical role in our countrys energy portfolio for decades and will continue to be an important source of energy in the future.
Sycophantic liberal media outlets (like The Nation and the Associated Press) went further, repeatedly claiming that the War on Coal was a myth. The Obama campaign even ran a TV ad in Ohio claiming that Mitt Romney would be bad for coal and trotted out former Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland to deny there was a war on coal and echo the attacks on Romney.

This clown is only into six months of his second term, and it is one fight with leftist extremism after another. It’s going to be an interesting 42 months ahead. Will America survive?

Thanks.
Now The Kenyan is strongly indicating he will not approve construction of the Keystone XL pipeline...on “carbon pollution” grounds. He's just giving another campaign speech...
Even if the full truth were known about this Marxist-Stalinist, including his “on the down low” behavior, it's sad the low information (read: stupid) voters would have elected him twice anyway.

Oh, the schadenfreude, when some Volt-driving hairy-underarmed lefty Obama lover is stuck at home because she can't charge her car's batteries. So she stays home, and picks up the remote to watch her MSNBC favorites Rachel and Chrissie. She presses power button, and nothing happens because the coal-fired powerplant down the road that powers her car and her flat screen has been shut down.
Oh, I just can't wait ...

And the Republicans.

He will give billions to his green friends who will send him big campaign checks...and they will build wind farms that will not produce the energy needed...and back up systems will be required..all costing trillions more....so electric bills go up.,..but yes... as said before there will be a new government program to pay for your energy bill if you can´t...and that will not include a tea party member...only the Democratic base will get those checks....he truly is taking over the country

Obama declared war on coal before he was ever elected. This isnt news. Let see now, how many states that are dependent on coal production voted for Obama?

My, my, my. Lets see, we can no longer use any fossil fuel (oil based, natural gas or coal), nuclear fuel (how would anyone like a Fukushima disaster in their back yard - all it would take is a little old 9.0 earthquake and related tsunami hitting the plant), hydraulic power destroys stream and river habitat, wind and solar power doesn’t work, and finally magic is unreliable even with Obama unicorns helping.
What we have got here is a real live conundrum. Obama will figure it out. Maybe, the destruction of our economy will lower demand to the point where four old ladies on stationary bikes will supply all our real needs.

"Carbon pollution"...tell that to all the pretty trees and plants and green stuff that
eats carbon and
farts oxygen! Sorry for the crudeness, but I've found the potty humor actually gets Generation.commers to pay attention.

Well, at least shutting down American coal-fired generating stations will free up more coal for export to China.
