Its fun to watch them whine but I have a bad feeling that the court will rule 5-4 for gay marriage against us voters and then the Dems will be in a big gloat party,
But this should dampen it a bit.

(Fool me once, shame on you -- twice, shame on me -- 100 times, it's U. S. immigration policy.)

My understanding is that the court found that the VRA included extra-constitutional provisions that stomped on those states and at that time 1965 it allowed them because of the extra-ordinary discrimination going on,
So the 2006 fwightened wabbit GOP congress + Bush comes along and just re-authorized it as is without even looking at it because they were terrified of being labelled.
I remember reading in NR a contributor saying the congress needs to disable those specific parts, but they didnt.

Sorry, to finish
and that was the basis for this court to throw it out, the congress of 2006 failed to justify it when they re-passed it.

“The GOP was too cowardly to oppose this preposterous and unjust renewal. “
GOP rewrote the definition of cowardice. It’s all they do.

” The libs are in a tizzy that the SCOTUS threw the law (sect 4) back to congress to give them another chance to pick the states to punish. Yep, including the House.
A lib at work suggested this to me. I told them the House will get to work on this just as soon as they reverse citizen’s united. OWCH! “
