Justice, Schmustice—Don’t Let Green Progressives Steal a Good Term
Cornwall Alliance ^ | June 19, 2013 | E. Calvin Beisner

“Last month, the EPA released for public comment an 81-page ‘Draft Technical Guidance for Assessing Environmental Justice in Regulatory Analysis,’” reports Cornwall Alliance Senior Fellow Dr. Steven F. Hayward. “… The ‘technical guidance’ lays out a detailed framework for assessing the demographic and racial impact of regulations, such as how to identify minority populations at higher health risk. ‘Minority, low-income, and indigenous populations experience greater exposure and disease burdens that can increase their risk of adverse health effects from environmental stressors,’ the guidance states.”

“Assessing Environmental Justice in Regulatory Analysis” is gay.

Speaking of co-opting words, the homosexuals co-opted the word “gay” decades ago.

Nobody uses the dictionary definition of gay anymore. Nobody uses the word gay expect to refer to homosexuals anymore.

Remember the theme song of “The Flintstones”, which has the line about having “a gay old time”? They couldn’t use that line today.

What about “Deck The Halls” and the line about “gay apparel”? People joke about that nowadays.

I worked for the Seattle Public Utility, and they began yammering about "environmental justice" about six years ago. The whole thing struck me as a rationale for a patronage system. They set up a "division" consisting of about seven overpaid people - including a $55/hr "division director" - with an ill-defined mission. Almost everyone in the seven person "division" makes $35/hr on up; even the woman answering the phones makes about $25/hr. Most if not all of the people in the division are minorities.

This is just another way in which tax dollars are used by liberal governments to buy the votes of minorities and keep them on the plantation. The premise of the whole thing is that minorities are somehow denied equal service by the utility, although how this happens is never made quite clear. I was under the impression is that all paying customers received the same service, that there is not a racial identifier on your water meter, and that if some people have problems with their bills it's because they haven't bothered to learn English.

I’ve heard Jesse Jackson talk about “economic justice”, which means something along the lines of government or corporate payouts to the poor. When liberals talk about justice, it doesn’t mean what you and I think that word means.

The State of CA used environmental or social “justice” to advance Native American claims for environmental water against local people who are in poverty. The poverty portion of the definition just seems to slip their minds when it doesn’t suit their agenda.

I want my “Climate Justice” !!!

It’s way to hot and humid in the summer and the damp cold in the winter has caused me to be unable to function or compete in this “unfair system”.

It’s not my fault that I live here.

It’s not my fault that the system I live under requires hard work and responsibility.

If anyone wants to be on or off the Agenda 21 ping list, please notify me by Freepmail. It is a relatively low volume list in which we have been exploring the UN Agenda21 and related topics. We have collected our studies with threads, links, and discussions on the Agenda 21 thread which can be found here:

NEW ACTION THREAD:

Post 128 of the Action Thread is a summary of the history of Agenda 21, “what they are doing”, “what to do about it” and a good bibliography for further reading.
