HONG KONG The Hong Kong government announced on Sunday afternoon that it had allowed the departure from its territory of Edward J. Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor who has acknowledged disclosing classified documents about United States government surveillance of Internet and telephone communications around the world. snip
The Aeroflot agent said that Mr. Snowden is traveling with one other person, with the surname Harrison, but the agent declined to release the other travelers first name, saying that she did not have the authorization to do so. The closest adviser to Julian Assange, who orchestrated the release of the Wikileaks diplomatic cables three years ago, is named Sarah Harrison, prompting speculation that she was the Harrison on the flight with Mr. Snowden.

I agree. This stuff with Snowden is a family fight, nothing more. Never lose sight of the fact that he is an obama worshiper and desciple.

I’m thinking a modern-day Benedict Arnold here. First he did very good but then he betrayed his country and gave aid and comfort to our enemies.
The worlds leaders dont seem to respect him, or his authority, much.
Never trust a fool or his friends.
Yeah, 'cause that's so much more important than our Constitutional rights under the 4th Amendment, isn't it? By all means, let's trash one of our cherished rights for the sake of gathering intel that could be gathered in some way other than trashing one of our cherished rights. Makes sense to me....then again, I just smoked a big, fat, bag of crack. /sarc
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
The difference between Snowdon and Assange is that Snowdon is in the Big Game, and Assange is a pest.
The fascinating thing about the current iteration of the Big Game is that the teams are invisible (to us) and what’s at stake is unknown (although I suspect it’s the good old USA herself).
I kinda hope there’s a patriot team in here somewhere, but I’ve always been a hopeless romantic.
Snowdon is an OWS punk even further left than Obama.
He’s a hero of the commie countries. he’ll do as much damage to the US as he possibly can.
But could Assange really orchestrate this??? If so, then why didn’t he do it for himself.
OR...is he just the front man to give a face to the help with someone else pulling the strings.
This is a massive coordinated effort that would have had to Putin’s approval to land in Russia with Snowden reportedly being picked up in a Ven. Diplomatic car.
Not sure why he is flying through all of these different countries.
Or who is footing the bill???
Or who is keeping this guy safe????
It is fascinating.
The Brits, back during the Revolutionary War, were of the opinion that the New England colonists who fought the Crown were terrorists, too. SSDD
Here’s only a suggestion, but if he goes into Cuba....what would prevent him from catching a sailboat in six months, and quietly slipping into some small Florida port, and disappearing into the American landscape. Put a beard on the guy and he’d be just another guy in Orlando...working for DisneyWorld. Maybe even being Goofy as a character in the park.
Like the young NSA defectors to the USSR in 1959-60, I think Snowden acted impulsively. What is he planning to do with the next 50 years if his life? He will always be a man on the run as he can't count on his haven countries always being on the outs with the U.S. or their corrupt regimes not being bribed to render him to justice.
In other words, the amateurs that have been put in charge of running our government over the last 4+ years are too incompetent even to fill out a simple extradition request.
No need to worry. Snuggly the Security Bear will protect us!

I guess human nature doesn’t change- no matter how much freedom you offer some people, they will STILL seek power and control OVER others.
Only 1/3 of the people wanted freedom then, and only one third want it now.
1/3 don’t care about anything very much.
1/3 want power.
Just go to Mexico ....and he can walk back in undetected with false papers and social security number..he doesn’t have to be one of the boat people.
supposedly this says he is headed for Iceland
