DON'T GIVE UP
Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9 KJV Do you ever feel like giving up? Perhaps youre discouraged about your finances or youre facing problems with your health, your marriage, or your children. Sometimes problems seem so overwhelming that the road ahead seems too steep to climb. We all go through these times. Ive wanted to give up and quit many times through the years. But when I realized I had nothing interesting to go back to, I determined to keep pressing on. Even though continuing to move forward is sometimes painful, it is far better than giving up and sliding backwards. God is doing a good work in you so He can do more for you and through you. So ask Him to fill you with holy determination tonight and keep moving in the right direction. From the book Ending Your Day Right: Devotions for Each Evening of the Year by Joyce Meyer. And a BIG (((HUG))) back to you. Hope you are doing well, and the yuckies are not perplexing you.
A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
We are finally seeing grass start to come up where we had the tree stump removed and the ground reseeded. And as I was running errands early afternoon my Mom called me to say a momma moose and twin babies were in the yard eating away on the Mountain Ash. GRRR! I could have gotten pictures from 10 feet away.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE "Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation. From the brave, untrained volunteers who strode into Valley Forge that Winter arose the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, world-wide defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

I'm doing well, thank you. The yuckies are indeed at bay... for the time being.
Up close and personal would have been a great shot of that Momma and babies! Hopefully they return to nibble when you're home!

Make sure you have a comfy chair and some shade and maybe some lemonade. Use those boys to help you with the stairs. And walkers still work on the grass, but be VERY careful.

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS AND OUR BELOVED NATION!
Amazing Grace (Click)
By John Newton
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. . Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, . And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed! . Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. . The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. . Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace. . The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine. . When weve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, Weve no less days to sing Gods praise Than when wed first begun.

I took my son John-Man to the Friday Evening Parade at Marine Barracks Washington last night for his 17th Birthday. A beautiful evening, great performances by the Marine Band, Drum & Bugle Corps, Silent Drill Platoon and the Marines of 8th & I. A very emotional evening for me - plenty of WWII and three-war vets in attendance. The Marine Corps remains an outstanding component of our Armed Forces. And it goes without saying that we were treated with great kindness, gentility and respect by all serving there. I believe I'll make this an annual visit.
