A World Bank-commissioned study revealed that eight out of 10 Filipinos “personally experienced” the impacts of climate change in the last three years.

The study conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) disclosed that 85 percent of respondents claimed to have suffered from climate change. Of this figure, more than half or 54 percent described their experience as “severe” to “moderate.”

Also notable is how about two-thirds or 63 percent of survey respondents admitted that they did not participate in efforts to reduce the ill effects of climate change.

This would be funny if it weren’t for the billions of dollars pouring down the drain without doing anyone except bureaucrats and “scientists” a bit of good.

The good news is that they can all come here under the amnesty deal.

Worse than the bureaucrats and “scientists” are the mega-hustlers like Al Gore who are raking in hundreds of millions. It’s no different than crime syndicates or drug rings — the top “lords” or capos are making the big hauls at our expense.

“So, Mr. Pinoy, have you personally suffered the impact of climate change over the past three years?”
“Oh yeah. Man, it was extra hot last year. I got a terrible sunburn a couple times. And the ice in my pina colada melted too quickly.”

What a bunch of bunkum.

Suffering from the “moderate to severe” effects of an alleged one or two degree F temperature increase over the course of a century? Darwin could tell us what will happen to individuals who are that delicate. I’ve experienced almost daily temperature swings ten times that size, annual swings of 100 degrees or more, and a memorable storm that produced more than a fifteen degree decrease in a half hour.

The study conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) disclosed that 85 percent of respondents claimed to have suffered from climate change …
And they don’t list the loaded questions they asked the people, do they. Betcha they didn’t account for the recent high level of volcanic activity either. Just like measuring 400 ppm of CO2 on the summit of Mauna Loa; utter junk science.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s so hot and / or rainy in the Philippines all the time that its impossible to discern any effect one way or the other, and frankly no one cares.

Just like measuring 400 ppm of CO2 on the summit of Mauna Loa; utter junk science

The 400 ppm announcement was wrong but the measurements of CO2 there are long-settled science, see http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/gmd/ccgg/about/co2_measurements.html for example. There are variations no matter where in the world CO2 is measured, mostly from diurnal and annual vegetation and temperature fluctuations, mainly due to plant respiration. For example CO2 can spike at night as plants release CO2 or slowly rise in the fall as leaves decay and release CO2.

Measuring on top of a volcano that releases CO2 may seen problematic, but the contamination from the volcano is detectable as the prevailing winds on Mauna Loa shift from the trade wind direction (E) to other directions. The idea that there is way to sample volcanic CO2 and produce the steady rise shown is easily debunked. There are independent studies showing the same rise around the world with different annual variations and noise, but a matching slope.

This phoney baloney news is just a prelude, so don't discount it even though it may sound goofy now.

It's a clue that eco-nutcases are paving the way to declare "climate change" as a legitimate sickness on a par with other unusual illnesses such as Gulf War Syndrome and Agent Orange Disease.

In other words, if you're suffering from "Climate Change-itis", ObamaCare will be right there to insure you can get taxpayer-paid treatment at the luxurious AlGore Climate Change Treatment and Rehab Center in Rancho Mirage, California.

There is no such thing as “long-settled science”. It’s like thinking that “credible government” exists.
