"IRS Sent $46 Million in Tax Refunds to 23,994 Unauthorized Aliens All at the SAME Address in Atlanta" The IRS sent more than $46 million in tax refunds to 23,994 unauthorized alien workers who all listed the same address in Atlanta, Ga., in 2011, according to an audit report by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA).
However, the Atlanta address that received millions of dollars in refunds was not the only address apparently housing thousands of unauthorized aliens. In fact, it wasnt even the only address in Atlanta that was claiming such a situation.

I doubt the money went to individuals, somebody would have talked. I’m guessing the money went to organizations.
From article:
Perhaps the most remarkable act of the IRS was this: It assigned 6,411 ITINs to unauthorized aliens presumably using a single address in Morganton, North Carolina. According to the 2010 Census, there were only 16,681 people in Morganton.
I think you are on to something...on a whim I checked if there was a SEIU office in Morganton...there sure is...
There are no coincidences...
Well that IS less than the cost of the Obama’s royal vacation.
Our government is probably more corrupt now than any nation on Earth.

I agree.
They were hoping you would give up so the agent could send the check to himself.
Cockroaches, fleas, and bedbugs. They have rights, too! Let's make them citizens.
I still have the letters and paperwork filed away - just in case - they say there was an error and reach into my bank account and seize funds from me...which I think is a total Nazi tactic! I wonder how many people that filed and were entitled for this credit didn’t get the initial letter...they only had 30 days to respond and get the paper work in...after 30 days if the IRS did not CONFIRM they got the paperwork - then the person was SOL...sounds like a scam set of regulations....I didn’t stop until I got that letter...it was like day 20 when I was confirmed...pretty sad state of affairs....
‘bammy bucks....
He stole that too.
Fear the democrats are on top of it like covering it up.
im sure they did talk... but no one understood them because they were speaking Spanish!
“I heard about this yesterday, and am still stunned that a computer/agent somewhere didnt catch this when more than 100 checks went to the same address. Isnt there some kind of red flag threshold for something like that? Apparently not.”
As an auditor I can tell you, there are basic continuous monitoring analytics that look for same address payments, duplicate payments, etc.
There is no excuse for this, except collusion to defraud the American taxpayer.
Leaves me to wonder if any political campaigns benefitted from these payments...
Government healthcare here we come!
Has to be refund via direct deposit.
Or, a postal employee backs up a mail truck to drop off bags of refund cheques. You would think the Postal Service would report this flood of mail
Therefore, IRS should have all the bank account numbers, and names.
We could dip into the PRISM database and solve this case in a few days
Hang every damn one of them.
Yes, we pay the payoff.
Of any so-called free society, yes. This is why there will be no freedom until all of this changes & see none in the future.
“Leaves me to wonder if any political campaigns benefitted from these payments...”
Someone benefited bigtime, and it wasn’t the US Taxpayer.
This is what they are best at.
Second priority after wasting money is robbing anybody who is making it.
all with the same name ?
The fraud and waste is phenomenal. I have trouble getting my mind around all of it, done so purposely to further corrupt and destroy the country.
And they audited me because I adopted two kids and dared to take the adoption tax credit.
