A driver who witnessed the fiery crash that killed journalist Michael Hastings says the vehicle the 33-year-old was driving shook his car "like a freight truck" as it flew by early Tuesday morning in Los Angeles.
"Was stopped at a red light tonight when a pearl white Mercedes flew past," Michael Carter wrote on Facebook a few hours later. "It shook my car like a freight truck going by. Saw it burst into flames a quarter mile down the road when it hit a tree."
In a Facebook message to Yahoo News, Carter explained in detail what he saw:

A grim report circulating in the Kremlin today prepared by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) claims that award winning American journalist Michael Hastings [photo top left] was assassinated by a US military drone strike early this past Tuesday morning (PDT) while attempting to reach what he believed would be a safe haven at the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles, California. An interesting point of view.

Didn’t one of the Clinton associates’ car inexplicably veer off the highway and hit a tree? It caused some comment during the Clinton regime.

Sounds like a man driving as if he thought he was being chased. Or hunted.
To: schm0e
It was SUPPOSED to look like suicide.

Reminded me of the glue under the gas pedal of the motorhome in the movie “The Blues Brothers”.

Seems he traveled at a high rate of speed, on a straight trajectory for a pretty good distance. Doesn't sound like a drunk driver, to me.

Sounds to me like a man whose accelerator was stuck ‘down’. The bomb might have been placed in order to end the racing car before it did too much damage to the city/populace. I would guess a remote detonator was used and someone was timing when to detonate the speeding vehicle IF there was a bomb which separated the motor and transmission from the chasis.

Indeed, what was he doing out at 4:30 a.m., a time mostly used by sleepy travelers going to catch early planes and people with early stating jobs? Also, why travel at well over 100 m.p.h. on LA city surface streets??
To: BenLurkin
I’d be interested in seeing pictures of the car. If it was a Mercedes, they are pretty crash proof....
To: MHGinTN
Why not turn off the ignition and shift the vehicle into neutral?
To: BenLurkin
New cars are almost entirely automated and can be stopped or directed remotely by computer.

But you still have to have a key to start the car though.
