I signed his petition.
He’s right, we can make a difference.
Don’t stop calling/emailing/or going to their offices.
A national petition *as well as* flooding the phone lines of every House member,Republican *and* Rat.
Wire congress. Wire congress. Wire congress.
I forwarded the following email to my useless senator (the OTHER one from Texas!):
Dear Sen.,
Today, on the floor of the U.S. Senate, you argued in favor of passing the new immigration bill on “humanitarian” grounds because of the people who died trying to illegally enter this country.
Senator, let me ask you a question: Suppose a thief wants to break into your house and steal goods that you and your wife have worked to purchase. And, in the process of breaking into the second story of your house, the thief falls and breaks his leg? Are you obligated to help that thief complete his task by taking the possessions he was after, putting them in a pillowcase and helping him back to his car?
That, Senator, in esence is what this immigration bill does and you should be aware of the fact that most Texans and most Americans oppose its passage. I strongly encourage you to re-consider your position and oppose the immigration bill.
Thank you for your consideration.

I called every day.
Senate lines are busy ,
So I leave messages if its not full .
I like Cruz more by the day.
Petition?
McCain, Schumer and Graham have been trying to get this passed for a decade. They are too close. They think they can smell success. They are not going to pay any attention to anything from the grassroots.
Done. I didn’t send any money this time, but if Ted remains steadfast without turning into another RINO, I’ll send him some cash in 2006.
The petition has nothing to do with defeating the bill outright or against the massive legalization and citizenship. It only says that border security in the bill should be better.
And yes, it is very likely an address-gathering fundraising ploy. Rand Paul has done something similar.

Don’t flinch. Just sign.
llegal aliens invade the USA for Welfare and Wages.
1.) End the Federal Anchor Baby Law.
2.) End the Federal Hospital Emergency Room No Payment Law (EMTALA).
3.) End ANY other Welfare to Aliens.
4.) Fine US employers $1,000 per day per alien employee hired.
5.) Spend NO money on securing the border. It is 2,000 miles of desert.
6.) Spend money on Chainlink/ Concertina wire prisons in the desert for repeat offenders who have invaded our Country.
7.) Transfer Border Invasion Enforcement to the US Coast Guard and the US National Guard in each State, and controlled by each States Governor.
8.) Repeal all State and Federal Laws that prohibit voter officials and Police from requesting proof of US Citizenship for any reason what so ever.
I would stick with NumbersUSA's and Stand With Arizona's existing petitions with big numbers and no fundraising gimmicks.
Might be too late... but I hope not
TT
I signed the petition, and emailed the link to my list.
Thanks for posting.
Signed and happy to leave my first donation of the 2014 season.
Here are the details, for those who tweet....
At 2 p.m. eastern time, NumbersUSA will join other organizations in a Stop Amnesty "Tweet Up." The goal of the Tweet Up is to get the hashtag #StopAmnesty trending and to overwhelm Senators' twitter accounts with tweets detailing the flaws of the amnesty bill.
We ask that at 2 p.m. Eastern time/ 1 p.m. Central time/ noon Mountain time/ 11 a.m. Pacific time, you use the hashtag #StopAmnesty and tweet messages to your Senator. We also ask that you stay engaged on Twitter and promote the message as much as you can.
Tweet yourself, retweet others, reply to naysayers, etc. - just make sure you are using #StopAmnesty
Please keep an eye on these twitter pages belonging to other groups who will be participating. Experts from Center for Immigration Studies, Eagle Forum, Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), Heritage Action, Heritage Foundation, ProEnglish, and Americans4Work will be tweeting about the bill.

The main points we hope you push in your tweets are these:
The CBO report finds that S 744 will decline wages of legal workers for 12 years and will increase unemployment for 6 years while only stopping 25% of illegal immigration.
The bill will bring millions of new workers, with every skill level, at a time when 20 million Americans cannot find a full time job. There is no labor shortage.
This bill was written by special interests who want cheap labor and do not care about the welfare of immigrants.
The bill will weaken current law. It fails to build a border fence and implement an entry/exit system - both of which have already been mandated by Congress.
Law enforcement is overwhelmingly against the bill including the President of the ICE workers union.
No matter what amendments may be agreed to today, the bill is still amnesty first and enforcement later, maybe. Members of the Gang of 8 have admitted this and refuse to tie border security to amnesty.
The American people disagree with that sequence. They want enforcement FIRST.
