ANN ARBOR, MI – The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, today announces a victory in their lawsuit against teacher Johnson McDowell of Howell High School in Howell, Michigan. Federal District Judge Patrick J. Duggan of the Eastern District of Michigan issued his opinion yesterday.

The Court declared the teacher’s actions in punishing Daniel Glowacki for expressing his beliefs against homosexuality violated “Daniel’s First Amendment rights.” In its findings of fact—the Court described how the teacher initiated a discussion about homosexuality. The teacher wore a purple t-shirt and was promoting the homosexual agenda. In response, the Plaintiff, 16 year-old Daniel Glowacki stated that homosexuality was against his Catholic beliefs. The teacher, admittedly, became angry and threw Daniel out of class because he disagreed with Daniel’s beliefs.

It didn’t say whether the teacher had to pay damages. I hope he does and I hope they are substantial. I suspect his pro-homosexual bullying will be considerably lessened in the future.

“Wow. The ACLU supported the student against the teacher. Impressive that they didn’t just sit this one out.”

It was not the ACLU. It was the Thomas Moore Law Center.

Read the bottom line in the TMLC article:

“The ACLU appeared in the case as amicus and supported Daniel’s position against the teacher.”

It was the homosexual teacher who was the bully. I hope the family gets some damages. School boards need to be held accountable as to the sort of person they hire.

What happened to the teacher?

The teacher was suspended for one day without pay but the penalty was eventually rescinded after he filed a grievance.

Where does the student file his grievance? Evidently, not in school since his mother had to go to court.

“Faggots aren’t content with with merely being allowed to practice their abominable perversion. They demand decent folk not even be allowed an opinion on the matter.”

Yep.

Ironically, this type of abuse by government types is why I favor stripping the government of all but essential powers. Government is inherantly tyranical and liberal.

Good to see this. Its not the first time we’ve won on this kind of thing the key is having the willingness and means to fight. Political correctness is not popular and the way that militant homosexuals and their supporters try to wield it is backfiring more and more. Conservative media needs to be better at making these type of things a national issue like they are with stupid antigun stuff like pop tarts and toy guns and nra tee shirts. A concerted focus on these thought police tactics by militant homosexuals and leftists in general is a great way to reveal that caving to them is not harmless nor will it appease these groups which don’t seek tolerance but outright dominance.

And yet conservatives continue to send their most precious possession, their children, to public schools.

Home school if you have the time.
Private school if you can afford it.
If one of the first 2 choices are not possible a more centrist or right leaning charter school.

Sending kids, grandkids to public school is child abuse and those who do are giving aid to our enemies.

The good guys win one.

Maybe...

My guess is said teacher goes out on disability because of stress related to this issue and gets a part time job as a Community Organizer with a Soro's based group, and we pick up the tab....

Wow. The ACLU supported the student against the teacher.

Counsel for the defense of the student was the Thomas More Law Center, which often argues religious persecution cases on behalf of Christians.

lol. Thanks for doing the heavy lifting. :-D. Who would have thunk when Jim started his website it would ultimately take a team to read one article--one person in the thread besides the OP reads and then the rest piece it together through assumption, knee jerk glances at content, and correction from the one that actual read. ;)
