Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, was disappointed when the U.S. Supreme Court upheld Obamacare. One year later having thought about the case, gotten some distance from the issue, reviewed the ruling opinion hes confident of one thing: Chief Justice John Roberts engaged in a betrayal of his judicial oath, one that amounts to a form of tyranny.
In this case, I cant be sure what exactly motivated Chief Justice John Roberts, Lee said last night during a Charles Koch Institute event on Freedom, Laws, and the Commerce Clause at the Kirby Center for Constitutional Studies. But what we do know is this: in this case, he appears to have undertaken a split the baby strategy. It didnt work. [It's] not just that it didnt work, but it amounted, I believe, to a betrayal of his judicial oath. He engaged in law-making and this is wrong.
Lee acknowledged that its a bit uncomfortable to criticize Roberts, due to his respect for the chief justice (a friend of the late Rex Lee, the senators father) and for the Supreme Court as an institution.
Heres how I justify it in my own mind, he said. John Roberts did my job. I would not be criticizing him had he not treaded on my grass. He did my job and Im going to call him out on it.(continued)

This is how the system actually works now. Those who must contest for votes raise as much money as possible so they can spread their promises all over the country. Those promises are mostly promises to do things that are in violation of the constitution, they compete with others to promise the most imaginative ways to violate the constitution that will sound good to the low grade voters (low grade having little reference to income, social status or IQ score) who should not be allowed to vote. When one of them wins he or she is sworn in with an oath to support the constitution which they have promised to disregard and trample on during the campaign. Those who are appointed are likewise sworn in with an oath to support the constitution and with few exceptions proceed to utterly disregard the document they swore to uphold. None of them admit to violating the constitution, they just do it and lie and say they are protecting our sacred constitution. This is reality, to say otherwise is to ignore something as obvious as the sunrise. It is not a question of honest differences in interpretation, it is much worse, it is conscious evil.
This is what we reap when we allow the republic the founders guaranteed to us in the constitution to become a functioning democracy in practice, actual democracy is an abominable form of government, it is often said that democracy is the worst form of government “except for all the others”. That is a meaningless statement, true democracy in practice is hideous in its results. It is like a huge family in which everyone has a vote but the majority are spoiled little children and their vote counts for the same as Grandpa’s vote. True democracy is NOT the same thing as a republic, that is a lie.
Time to rule that someone DOES have standing on the Birth Certificate issue!
