“if Catholics have their schools and buildings and Protestants have theirs”

Meaning the government should regulate who worships what where??? Or give the buildings to Muslims because... well I just want to...

Do Muslims have elementary schools for general academic education as well as religious instruction?

In a free country the people are responsible to educate their own children in the way they see as right.

So you will see catholic schools, and protestant schools of various flavors, and secular schools of all kinds, and the craziest thing is that people decide where to send their kids themselves. Some people don’t even send their kids to any school, they educate them themselves right there at home.

Thats what happens in a free country.

I’m glad to see him offend the Catholics in the UK and hope it offends the Catholics and other Christians everywhere. Maybe it will wake up some of those who supported him. They need a slap up side the head.

A true story with about a dozen witnesses was told to me this past week at a funeral. A class trip was taken to the White House a year ago and Obama was meeting with kids 11 and 12 years old. Apparently with teachers and parents out of the room...Obama was doing nothing but faith bashing and literally telling the kids that following an organized religion or faith is going to vanish in this country and that he needed their help in changing the future and the landscape forever without religion involved at all in this nation.

Let me tell you...the people who shared this story with me are teachers at a Blue Ribbon Catholic school...known them my entire life...had no reason to tell this story to me out of the blue other than the fact that we hadn’t physically seen each other in quite some time and the topic had switched to politics.

Obama is a lunatic who walks in the steps of Marx, Mao, and Hitler. THAT IS A FACT.

"Free public schools." Plank #10 of the Communist Manifesto (1848)

First compulsory attendance laws passed in Massachusetts (1852)

Nothing new here. Obama just went off-prompter.

WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ? This address to the Irish might make it to the national scene but our media will sit on it.
After taking complete control even after losing the House the word and reference to GOD was removed at their 2012 national convention. A fact that went un-noticed and un-touched by the RINOS and GOPES (GOP elite snobs) who are running todays Republican party.

Even after reconsideration the decision was derided by the majority because it was re-installed over a majority voice vote supporting the removal.

If this were a political party in a parlimentary system it would be hyphenated and would (and should despite the difference) be refered to as the Demo-Com party. But the RINOS and GOPES can’t even call them “socialist”.

Any Catholic or Christian claiming to belong to this party is a hyprocrite and should be confronted with disgust and distain.

http://frontpagemag.com/2012/arnold-ahlert/stealth-islamist-charter-schools-under-investigation/

That investigation, carried out by FBI and the Departments of Labor and Education, is centered around charter school employees who are allegedly engaged in kicking back part of their salaries to the Muslim movement also known as Hizmet (service to others), founded by Gulen. ...

... Gulen schools are among the nation’s largest users of the H1B visas. In 2009, they received government approvals for 684 visas. The Harmony School, a Gulen-related institution, has applied for more H1B visas than any educational institution in the country.

GM officials at some of the charter schools that ostensibly specialize in math and science, claim they need to fill teaching spots with Turkish teachers. At the Young Scholars of Central Pennsylvania Charter School in State College, Ruth Hocker, former president of the parents’ group, grew suspicious when certified American teachers began to be replaced by uncertified Turks with limited English-speaking skills who, despite that limitation, commanded higher salaries. Parents pointed out that these uncertified teachers were moved from one charter to another when their “emergency” credentials expired. They also spoke about a pattern of sudden turnovers of Turkish business managers, administrators, and board members.

Similar complaints arose in Texas, where it was revealed that hundreds of Turkish teachers and administrators were also working with H1B visas. In addition, the Harmony School group was using taxpayer money to fund Gulen’s movement via school construction and renovation projects. Despite assertions that the bidding process on those projects was fair, records showed that virtually all of the work has been done by Turkish-owned contractors, according to the New York Times. ...

... In Pennsylvania, neighbors of Gulen’s fortress retreat complain of hearing automatic gunfire and the drone of a surveillance helicopter that constantly searches for intruders. 100 Turkish guards stand watch over the property as well. If this man and his movement–which continues to expand–have nothing to hide, they have a remarkable way of showing it. ...

Above article includes link to Janet Levy (American Thinker April 8 2012 http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/05/60_minutes_veils_education_jihad.html#ixzz2WlOZQlxZ ;

In the CBS special, Stahl dismisses complaints about the Gülen schools advancing an Islamic agenda in America with the baiting question of "So do you think there's a little bit of Islamophobia involved?" Yet a Washington Post blog post recently reported that an article in a popular Turkish daily newspaper quoted Gülen school insiders who outlined the U.S. Gülen schools' goals: "through education, we can teach tens of thousands of people the Turkish language and our national anthem, introduce them to our culture and win them over. And this is what the Gülen Movement is striving for."
[snip] One former teacher married to a Turkish teacher discovered that her husband was required to cash his check and give back 40% to the movement. Posts on a charter school watchdog blog translated Gülen contracts, which indicate that Turkish employees must give back cash from their salaries as well as tax refunds and state retirement funds.

Charter Schools Tied to Turkey Grow in Texas NY Times; below not intro but from within article, similar to previous [above] excerpts

The secret lay in the meteoric rise and financial clout of the Cosmos Foundation, a charter school operator founded a decade ago by a group of professors and businessmen from Turkey. Operating under the name Harmony Schools, Cosmos has moved quickly to become the largest charter school operator in Texas, with 33 schools receiving more than $100 million a year in taxpayer funds. ...

... Some of the schools’ operators and founders, and many of their suppliers, are followers of Fethullah Gulen, a charismatic Turkish preacher of a moderate brand of Islam whose devotees have built a worldwide religious, social and nationalistic movement in his name. Gulen followers have been involved in starting similar schools around the country — there are about 120 in all, mostly in urban centers in 25 states, one of the largest collections of charter schools in America. ...

... Even so, records show that virtually all recent construction and renovation work has been done by Turkish-owned contractors. Several established local companies said they had lost out even after bidding several hundred thousand dollars lower.

“It kind of boils my blood a little bit, all the money that was spent, when I know it could have been done for less,” said Deborah Jones, an owner of daj Construction, one of four lower bidders who failed to win a recent contract for a school renovation in the Austin area. ...

... Mr. Gulen, 70, considers his teachings a bulwark against Islamic extremism. Yet he and the movement that bears his name have been surrounded by controversy in Turkey. He came to this country in 1999 while under pressure from secular Turkish authorities who accused him of promoting an Islamic state. He was charged, though the case was thrown out. More recently, the arrests of Turkish journalists critical of the Gulen movement have led to accusations of retaliation by followers in the current government, which has a more religious leaning.

Mr. Gulen now lives in a Pennsylvania retreat owned by a foundation. In an interview there last year with The International Herald Tribune, he said he had not benefited financially from the movement. His only possessions, he said, were a blanket, some bed sheets and a few prized books.

Then check the this out;
http://www.gulenschools.com/ which I'll borrow one frame of their changing banner header at risk of being linked here from THERE, like leaving a little trail of electronic bread crumbs...so be advised

Uh huh. Yeah, right.

Now how to link this to the Obama Admin? Bush helped open the Charter School door for better and worse. But with all the Muslim top advisers Obama has... one does wonder what would become of any "investigation" of these Gulen people. Are they divisive too? Can't we just hear the excuses already? "But Gulen charter schools are not religious".

I do get the impression that increasing numbers of Islamic immigrants are not in the U.S. to assimilate. What do they or COULD they know of foundational US values, when those values have been trashed by Hollyweird for the last thirty years with follow-up PC politicizing from the alphabet networks, with witches like Leslie Stahl to help show them how to play the "don't pick on my religion" card, even as part of that religion's goal is to infiltrate and assert itself globally -- pushing all others aside, by peaceful means -- or otherwise.

The trouble with Gulen as I see it, is that the "peaceful Jihad" competes with the "sudden jihad syndrome" thing, and I do have some concern that the former be stepping stone or place for the latter to hide and be nurtured until frustration overcomes the movement (Fethullah Gülen is getting old) and some new guy comes along with different ideas taking over the infrastructure.
