DENVER Senate President John Morse issued a national plea for help to out-of-state supporters from Boston to San Francisco as Colorado Democrats went on the offensive Tuesday to save him from a recall vote.
A spokeswoman for A Whole Lot of People for John Morse announced Tuesday that a protest had been filed to nullify the recall petitions within hours after the Colorado Secretary of States office declared that the petitions were sufficient to force a recall election.
Meanwhile, Morse urged out-of-state supporters to help him keep his Colorado Springs legislative seat by donating their money and time.
[A]ny help that you can give us in fundraising or in volunteering, even from around the country, truthfully, said Morse in a video message. We can get phone lists to you and things like that and have you help from Boston, Massachusetts, or from San Francisco, California. So thanks for all that youve done so far and thanks for all that youre going to do as we move forward to take on this tiger.
The message, posted Monday on the Facebook page A Whole Lot of People for John Morse, underscores the national prominence of the recall fight, which is being viewed as a referendum on gun rights.
Paul Paradis, one of the recall organizers, accused Morse of trying to combat the will of those living in the Colorado Springs district with out-of-state interest groups.
Hes trying to get other states to run this district, pure and simple, said Paradis. We want someone whos going to represent our side of town, not Los Angeles, not New York.

That’s sort of like a serial rapist-murderer asking Ted Bundy to be a character witness.
Ping
Morse voted for San Franciscos values - now wants their money. NYC Bloomberg’s cash , too.
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
Thanks for the ping, beaversmom.
Morse is squirming and sweating. Gotta love it.
He’ll get help from the Obama people a lot quicker than the guys in Benghazi.
It’d be ironic if his calling for out of state help actually hurts him instead of helping him, and it just may.
Funny he isn’t asking for help from his own district.
Fire his ass!
Here’s the thing...and I heard this today. He’s not supposed to run again in the next election...he already said that months ago. So if he begs for massive sums of cash to support this recall defeat....it’s money flushed down the toilet. If I were the Democrats....I’d ration the money and feed it to the next Democratic guy running.
One less rat face anti gun nut. Lets hope they dump him.
He may get a Chris Dodd waitress sandwich type deal $$ and go quietly so that the DUmmies can run someone else.
Good point. Let’s hope the rats don’t follow your advice. LOL
I read the entire article and still don’t understand WHY Morse is being recalled.
I assume he’s some sort of a lefty??
I well remember the recall of the governor — and before that 3 California Supreme Court Justices — in my home state of California (Gray “Gumby” Davis), how he stamped his feet and tried to get the petitions invalidated, fortunately, at that time, there was still a modicum of sense and the courts saw fit to follow the rule of law.
The bastard was ousted, as were the 3 lefty Supreme Court Justices, namely Rose Bird.
“Paul Paradis, one of the recall organizers, accused Morse of trying to combat the will of those living in the Colorado Springs district with out-of-state interest groups”
That’s the first thing I noticed - he’s representing the left wing moonbats in NY and San Fran.
Go get this snake, Coloradans. Send him back to the fruitcake liberals in New York.
Add me to your list please.
Maybe New Yorkie Dooomberg can swing by with his gun grabbing bus tour and yap & yip for Morse.
:-^)
LOL-Well said!
Done. Thanks
Morse is the Senate President in Colorado. He is a Pelosi clone who rammed through horrid gun control. He refused to let sheriffs testify, they were against the magazine ban and other bills.
The gun grab got national attention. His other agenda items were as bad or worse.
