Mark Levin went back and forth with Paul Ryan on his radio show regarding the push for immigration reform, asking tough questions along the way and at one point even telling Paul Ryan that he doesn’t ‘buy it for a second.’ It runs for 22 minutes and is longer than his normal interviews because it spanned 2 segments.

Update for this thread:

Mark Levin lays into Paul Ryan over his immigration stance

Context: Ryan tried to blow off Mark last week and brought the roof down on top of himself. Last night, he called in to Mark's show with tail between his legs and took his medicine...

IIRC, Mark promoted him before his election.

Yes he did. He also promoted Rubio. They get the backing of conservatives then they turn, once elected. These two let all of us down.

Promoted him before what election? Paul Ryan ran for VP and lost. He was already chairman of the House Budget Committee.

Promoted him? Mark didn’t promote anyone who would be for this stupid bill. This stupid bill came to the forefront and we became aware that Ryan was all for it, AFTER the election.

What are you talking about?

>>IIRC, Mark promoted him before his election.<<

Over Charlie Crist? I think most of us did.

Then Rubio turned on us.

I made a mistake ... sorry.

Damned if I can recollect what (or who) I was thinking about.

Getting older sucks ... and is a constant source of amusement.

Paul Ryan wasn’t elected to anything that he wasn’t already elected to. Remember? He’s been in the House, from Wisconsin, for a long time, and since 2010 the chairman of the House Budget Committee. He lost for VP when Romney lost to Obama.

At the time that happened, this immigration disaster bill had not even appeared on the radar screen.

HA-HA, used car salesman Ryan called Levin ‘The great One’ at the beginning to butter him up.

Ryan tells Levin he didnt see the CBO study on the border
Levin did a OK but not great job taking on Ryan. He asks him over and over why we should trust congress.
Ryan does his standard slipper talk like he did with his phony budget resolutions.
Keeps saying the house bill has ‘real metrics’ that Obama departments cant avoid. And how the ‘current system is broke’ over and over so 'we must do something'.

Levin does quiz him on welfare without much luck but misses asking him specifically about them getting EITC and their dependents getting food stamps, letting Ryan spin.
He doesnt ask him at all about giving illegals the vote which Levin talks about frequently when Ryan is not on.

Levin calls Ryan a “smart conservative’ GAG, then at end he says to Ryan 'I wish you well my friend God Bless you'

Ryan is such a con man.

Paul Ryan is from Wisconsin and has been in the House for some years. He didn’t run against Charlie Crist for FL Senator, he ran for VP with Romney. That was Rubio who ran against Crist. So many traitors, it gets confusing...

Ryan was a disappointment.

Levin would ask questions. Ryan would ignore them and return to his talkingpoints.

Ryan was sort of like Rubio — the longer he talked, the faster he talked. Several times, Levin had to ask him to slow down.

Sadly, Ryan has turned into a fast-talking snake oil salesman.

Secure the border. Ryan — yeah, but they have up to 5 years go do it.

Levin asked about the new CBO report that says 10 million new illegals would enter within the next decade. Ryan returns to his canned talkingpoings.

Levin asked him about the CBO report claim that the current bill (Senate?) would only stop about 25% of the illegal traffic. Ryan returns to his canned talkingpoints.

Damned if I can recollect what (or who) I was thinking about.

When talking about politicians, they all start looking/acting alike after a while. You can't distinguish one from another, one party from another. Kafka called it Metamorphosis. Many of us call it sell out.

Mark was very firm and fair, no sugar coating.

He has been brutal to the rest of the RINO's, called McCain unstable if I heard correct, eviserated Boehner and the list goes on. Thank G-D for Mark at this point, the only one with cohones to call these nit-wits out for who they are.

Keeps saying the house bill has ‘real metrics’

When Levin asked him specifically what those 'real metrics' were, Ryan didn't have a response -- said he didn't have that info available.

[That kind of response happens a lot -- they know the talkingpoints buzz words, but they don't know the content of their own bills.]

Ryan’s favorite talking point word - the word of the day - was “Metrics”. Border Security Metrics. Ways to measure border security, which he says are in the bill the House is working on.

It really doesn’t matter what’s in that House bill. Anything decent in it would disappear from any conference report with the Senate.

And dingy Harry reiterated what we all knew, that “a path to citizenship” absolutely must be in the final product.

Levin didn’t much care for border security “metrics”. It’s nothing but a nerdy construct that in the final analysis isn’t going to cut it.

Ryan was thrilled with the concept.

WHAT A CONTRAST!

Levin vs. Ryan - the true Constitutionalist vs the legislative nerd.

Mark did enough of a good job to have Ryan in a tizzy. Ryan came off as a stuttering, childish nerd. He cannot debate Mark Levin. Impossible. He’s reduced to fast-talking his talking points. Mark doesn’t hate Ryan. He likes him. Therefore a painful situation. Mark mentioned that someone went on his facebook and savaged him for not savaging Ryan. He blew them up (rhetorically) and blew them off.

Mark Levin is trying his guts out to save this nation.

I don’t know of anyone in a similar position in America who has given more of himself to that cause.
