The Senate voted down an amendment to the upper chamber's immigration bill proposed by Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) that would require a full biometric visa tracking system placed at every land, sea, and air port of entry in the United States before legalized immigrants could receive green cards.
The measure, which was also called for by the 9/11 Commission in the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks, would establish a biometric exit-entry system.
Gang of Eight member Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) told Breitbart News last week that the tracking system was the "lynchpin to the whole bill." In May, he told various outlets he favored such a tracking system. On Tuesday, however, Rubio voted against the Visa tracking amendment.
Members of the "Gang of Eight" promised border security before legalization in the process of bringing their immigration bill to the Senate. However, an amendment proposed by Senator John Thune (R-SD) that would finally construct the 700 mile double-layer border fence as mandated by the 2006 Secure Fence Act was voted down as well with the help of the Republican members of the Gang of Eight.

These facts must devastate Rush and Levin, who have tried so hard to believe Rubio, when he “assured” them of requiring border security and biometric visas before his support, each of which he walked away from!
wHATTA PEACE OF TOAST.
Wow... that was one of the BEST things in this bill.... It gets UGLIER every day.
POS now..
It’s hard to rationalize what Rubio is doing other than to say he is stuck on stupid.
Still, I admire the fact that they have taken issue with the Zuckerberg money bomb that's saturating WABC with those imbecilic, pro-amnesty radio ads.

It’s almost like he has had a stroke and doesn’t know what he is doing.
Yes, and Rush named names yesterday, the Koch Brothers (funders and founders of Americans for Tax Reform, which I joined) and Ken Adelson (deep pocket funder of Newt Gingrich, another Amnesty-loving GOP-er!)
He is a crook and conniving evil pathological liar .
I called his vile billionaire puppet office and the phones were busy or no one had the nerve to pick up
They are being hammered .
He know he is cooked so it fora.l about. Being bought off like Maccain and Graham and snake McCoonnel .
K street crooks

Blackmail?
I can’t think of any rational explaination, either.
Gay blackmail, or some feminazi spouse or mother in his family close by, man or woman. We know gays have no borders.
They are going to pass this..... too much momentum and all we have to stop them is the Weeper in the House.
Sorry, we are screwed. Ironically, the GOP will take most of the blame because Rubio has become the face of this monstrosity just as Obama will forever be the face of the Unaffordable Care Act.
The one-two punch of ballooning entitlements from amnesty combined with government healthfare in the face of our ballooning debt makes me want to invest in the prepper industry. It’s going to get ugly. Shrillery will be a shoo-in for 2016 with 11 million new voters. Kiss Florida goodbye for a long time.
I think you're confusing ATR with Americans for Prosperity.
But you're right, the Koch brothers are Beltway libertarians (cosmotarians), and probably agree with Reason Mag, Cato, the WSJ, among others, on the subject of open borders and immigration.
Adelson is the worst though.
Not only a huge proponent of open borders-and an hypocrite-but he tried to foist Newt Gingrich upon us in the last election.
What part of Taxed Enough Already did he not understand?
There is only one way to defend a a thousand pages of indefensible legislation."We have to pass the bill before you will know what's in it."
Of course, that playbook only works when you control both bodies of the legislative branch as well as the executive.
Which is where the village idiot Rubio comes in.
They attempt to get Marco to persuade Boehner and enough house members to go over the cliff to get the legislation passed.
It is quite plain to see just how stupid Rubio is, it is very much up in the air if the speaker and enough members in the house are stupid enough to be taking instructions from Rubio.
One thing is for sure if the bill doesn't pass, the media will canonize Marco and demonize every member of the Republican house.
He could care less .
He is bought off .
The Koch Brothers, HEB food chain billionaire.,and the evil, billionaire who funded jerk funded Newt so he divided the primary vote for Romney own
Rubio and Grahnesty and McConnell and McCain and Flake.
