EXCERPT
Lees argument is not based on the NSA or its monitoring of the nations communication. Rather, Lee said, there are indications that Roberts originally intended to vote against the act, but that a public campaign of intimidation made him change his mind.
First, the senator claimed the opinion was written in a way to suggest he switched his vote, and that the dissenting opinion reads like it was originally written as the majority. He added that several news outlets reported that Roberts did change his vote, based on insider information.
Not only that, he said, but the court performed an unusual feat of legal gymnastics in upholding the legislation, particularly with regard to whether the fines incurred are or are not taxes. They had to re-write sections of the the bill not once, but twice.
Lee continued to say that he has no evidence that Roberts was being blackmailed, but said that doesnt mean Roberts wasnt under any kind of direct pressure."

Unfortunately ... Yes we do ... that poster will be back shortly to try to defend themselves. But it’s too late ... they have already shown their true colors ... either liberal red or yellow faux coservative
In that case one should refrain from going on a nationally syndicated radio program and announcing that one has earth shttering news that will divide the country and change all our lives until one has seen that things have come together. To do otherwise is to open oneself to the charges that are justly being laid at Beck's feet. He does this all the time. It's his modus operandi and it's very tiresome.
I don't think Beck will ever, ever report the story he was hyping last week because it was just hype. He needed a ratings bump and he got it. Good for him.
Same question still applies; Why the Senate? No hearings means no publicity.
Makes no sense.
I’m actually pretty surprised Sen Lee is saying this without some proof. Of course many of us here and elsewhere thought this also at the time.
>> Just like a liberal..
Oh, I’m a liberal because I put up with neither Glenn Beck’s bs or your calling out good FReepers for expressing a reasonable opinion that I happen to agree with? ROFL.
>> you demean my attitude rather than address the actual problem.
Your attitude IS the problem, pal. The idea that we must either swallow Beck’s crap unfiltered or meet with your wrath is unacceptable, and I’m not accepting it.
>> Juan Williams is that you?
Richard Simmons, is that you?
If that is the case, then Beck’s announcement should have been titled, “I smell a rat,” not “In 24 hours I am releasing a story that will destroy the power structures of both parties.”
I can’t answer that question because I’m not the whistle blower. I just listened to Beck’s program and this is what he said.
Ted Cruz may be one of the last ones left that is trustworthy.
~~ Chicken Little
There is no BS from Glenn. I’m calling out Freepers for negativity. Which you BROUGHT to this thread.
I am merely calling you out for being part of the problem.
Glenn has done more in the last 10 minutes for freedom and America than you will do your entire life.
Isn’t it a federal crime to intimidate a Justice of the SCotUS?
IT ought to be..
you don’t grandstand about this crap, it’s too important. just comeout with it when you have it ready, if it’s such a bombshell, it will get noticed without any hyped up check-back-tomorrow warning.
For the record ... I don’t listen to Glen Beck ... but I DO smell a rat and think that Roberts was gotten too. If that is the case a major line in the sand has been crossed.
I can understand the negativity, I get that way myself sometimes. We have a marxist POTUS a senate that is in agreement, a house with many weak republicans who are afraid to do what must be done and a split SCOTUS, whose integrity has probably been compromised. Billions of taxpayer dollars are going toward foreign entities who values we find vile and abhorrent. Yet those of us who disagree are the “wackos”
It is hard to change hearts and minds, and it is hard to find courage. Beck has a radio show and a mainstream website. As freepers we do not have these things at our disposal. He very well may be doing the best he can under immensely difficult circumstances.
We are not however helpless. The only way to convert hearts and minds is in our own lives one person at a time. Never give up on people and always offer them kindness even when they are spewing nonsense. It takes time to build relationships... but build them we must by living the truth every day to the best of our ability. We can’t expect Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin ( whom I love by the way) or Marco Rubio to come in and save the day. We can’t wait for a white knight, we must get up on the horse ourselves.
I agree.
We’re supposed to have a system of checks and balances.
If one of the branches of government tries to intimidate the other.. and it WORKS.. then we have a REAL problem
A Hitler like problem.
AMEN ... hence my tagline
if the whistleblower could genuinely be murdered, and it’s still a work in progress, you don’t say you’re working with a whistleblower just to make the show more exciting. plain and simple.
Or, if I get 1,000,000 "likes" on Facebook!
Maybe, but Glenn Beck seems to want to keep us there for....wait for it...RATINGS.
Sad too, I used to believe in Glenn Beck, not so much anymore.
we as individuals have a lot more power than average individuals in thge foubders’ time did.
>> There is no BS from Glenn.
24 hours, change the world, WATCH MY SHOW!!!!... fizzle. That’s BS. I’ll excuse you though; you’re such a worshipful Beck groupie that I don’t think you would smell BS if you were sitting on a pile of it. Blinded by luuuuuuv...
>> Im calling out Freepers for negativity.
Define negativity. Be precise.
