I’ve used juicing, a blendeer, etc., but I never got this level of energy by using them on a regular basis. But, the NutriBullet is an “extractor”, which means that it pulverizes seeds, nuts and even the skins on grapes. They also use the many nuts and seeds available (which are filled with multiple vitamins and minerals).
Sometimes, we miss out on the real nutrition portion of our food, because a blender cannot pulverize it so we have the benefit of it. Because we get our food in a pulverized form, it is easier to digest, plus we get more benefit from the “real nutrition” within those foods.
>> Ive know guys who do this with beer.
“When it was first brewed more than 300 years ago, the rich and malty style known as doppelbock sustained German monks as their liquid bread through the Lenten fast.”

This appeals to me. I’m losing weight with hyperemesis and could do with something bland and nutritionally complete to sip throughout the day.
I’m did this two years ago with MediFast and lost 50 pounds in anticipation of a major surgery.
Over the last two years, I have regained the weight; but that was to be expected. Eight months without smoking (25 pounds there), menopause, thyroid dysfunction, and a full year of recovery from the operation (the other 25 pounds) took it’s toll.
I’m back on the shakes and I’m already feeling better. (Lost 4 pounds, so far.)
I appreciate no cooking. Very little dishes. (Cups, mostly.)
I do supplement daily with V-8 and snack on almonds and walnuts. Also a little lunchmeat and mustard and an occasional pickle. All of that is to fill the need to knosh.
I have a full rib-eye steak and an apple twice a week.
I got a nutribullet. I started off making smoothies, then moved on to ice cream shakes. Mmm.
“Im 54 and an out-of-shape 125lbs to 130lbs. Ill be worried about gaining too much weight in another 10 years, Im not even 30 yet. More than half the time I dont eat anything for lunch, but for dinner and after, thats up in the air. I can eat like a pig.”
15 years ago, I was you.
Do your future self a favor and develop good eating habits now. Forget vanity. It’s called ‘taking care of your health so that you have it later.’
I think the big need for fiber is to keep everything moving. If one were to eat very little solids I think things would stay moving pretty well.
I agree that fiber does help with keeping things moving. More important, is fluids.
I used to get busy and only drink a glass or two of water a day. Then I started looking at what amounts I should be drinking, and was amazed at how much they recommended.
I now drink six 500ml glasses of water during a day. My problems vanished.
I’ll also give you a little trick that helps if you think you’re experiencing a movement problem. Take a tempered glass of water (about 500ml) and place it in the microwave. Get it about as hot as you like your coffee and sip it slowly. Two of those and I guarantee you’ll be looking for a rest stop. :^)
This has worked wonders for me. Even a cup of coffee can get things started.
As for fiber, check out some of these links. You may need to go down a ways to find a link that addresses the issue related to what we were discussing.
Take care.
The key to Atkins, as with any glycemic diet, is an overall reduction in sugars. Sugars and whole grains are actually inflammation-inducing to the body. As such, your body fights them and your energy burns out from the digestion of that material.
On the other hand, consumption of fats and proteins are immediately bioavailable and promote healthy digestion. Once I cut out sugars and carbs in general, I felt amazing. No bloating, no mid-day crash, slept like a rock. It truly is amazing how much we as a society have glommed on to sugars and carbs. They’re really worthless when it comes to diet and metabolism and are the most likely cause for modern issues such as heart disease, diabetes, thyroiditis, and obesity.
Found it boring? Then you weren’t doing it right!
Whatever floats your boat.
But seriously, eating late and going to bed is not a great plan.
But...as I said, whatever floats your boat.
Even if you don't want to go to extremes, this movie is inspirational and is worth the time to watch.
I know a woman who hasn’t had anything to eat or drink since she was 14. She had a very rare disease that atrophies your digestive system. That has been over 25 years.
She and a pharmacist came up with a formula that she gets through a port and has to be made fresh every day. One night when she was still a teen the pharmacist’s wife murdered him and he was the only one who knew the complete formula but she knew enough that they were able to replicate it.
Interesting. Glad they could mostly replicate it.
While I don’t disagree that this can sustain you over the long haul, I still question if it is a superior way to get nutrition over conventional methods.
I understand that there are people like this woman who must go this route, and I am glad it is available to them. That’s a great thing.
Where are all the cooks? Shopping for and preparing healthy food from real ingredients is not a chose. Eating real food is not a waste of time. Find a good Italian recipe and compare the results with “Soylent”. I think it’s sad that people would give up one of life’s great joys (and I’m at exactly my target weight - real high-fructose-corn-sytup-free cooking does not have to be fattening).
Any dietary help for someone with hyperparathyroid disease?
Are you on Synthroid, or levothyroxine? Sucks to have to take those for the rest of your life.
It was my first time, and she probably wasn’t too experienced either. All in all the time would’ve been better spent reading a book.
Sorry, I cannot help you. Don’t have any info on that; in fact I’ve never heard of it.
If you check the internet, be careful .. lots of scammers out there.

Not a lot of people have heard about it, which is what makes it a little worse.
