O'REILLY: "Personal Story" segment tonight. CBS News announced on Friday that Investigative Correspondent Sharyl Attkisson's computer was hacked into late last year. This, combined with the James Rosen situation here at Fox News and the A.P. snooping, causing a lot of concern.
With us now on a Factor Cable Exclusive is Ms. Attkisson. So, when did you know that somebody was messing with your computer.
SHARYL ATTKISSON, INVESTIGATIVE CORRESPONDENT, CBS NEWS: Well, there were signs probably around 2011 but I don't think I recognized exactly what was going on until perhaps the fall of last year when so many things were happening in the Attkisson household, so many of sort of strange electronic related things that --
O'REILLY: Give me an example because I don't know anything about computers. Give me an example.
ATTKISSON: I know very little, too. But the computers coming on by themselves at night. My personal Apple desktop as well as my CBS --
O'REILLY: -- disappearing. You weren't even there, just popped on.
ATTKISSON: Right.
O'REILLY: OK.
ATTKISSON: I mean I was sleeping. So, they would come on in the middle of the night, sometimes one right after the other. By the time last fall came around, they would sometimes both be starting up kind of a cacophony of computer music at night, in the middle of the night.
O'REILLY: So, you had a personal and you had a business computer. And they both came on. Sounds like poltergeist.

Key part of the conversation :
O’REILLY: Yes. But in order to go after somebody, you’ve got to have the suspicion. And I assume you have a suspicion.
You don’t have to tell me. I don’t want to get your lawyers mad. But I assume you have a suspicion.
ATTKISSON: Well, I think I know. But I am just not prepared to go into that. So, we’re continuing our investigation.
Could this be a setup? Blame a “conservative” hacker?
I doubt it. I think she's the real McCoy (i.e. reporter.)
I hope you’re right. And I hope they find the source.. (WH)
Prohably wind up being Booz & co.
She and Tapper are about the only MSM journalists that I find trustworthy.
Hubba. Hubba. Hubba!
What? What are you looking at?
She claimed that her computer(s) would turn on in the middle of the night.
Could be Microsoft and Windows. Win7 will do that, if it is in standby mode, even if updates are turned off. I notice occasionally on my desktop and laptop forced Windows upgrades, even though I have auto-update turned off.
Of course, MS was one of those said to be in thick with the FED for backdoor access. I recall comments and articles pre-Win7 claming that Win7 would have backdoor access built into it.
Do you mean Booz Allen Hamilton? Different company than Booz & Co.
Her contract was soon to be up at CBS so I am sure it was not them spying on her. She has been doing great investigative work to the point of getting under the skin of the whitehut. I suspect it was some group loosely on paper but probably directly connected to the “reelection” fund which has no place in reality to even exist given the election is over. In other words, some minion of his excellency about whose involvement his excellency will have to await the morning newspaper to ascertain.
So why didn’t she turn them off and unplug them ?
Even if MS wasn’t involved it wouldnt be hard for the NSA to hack her PC.
Suuuuure....that's what they want you to think!
...Obviously Sharyl thinks it is someone connected to the White House or the Obama campaign...otherwise, why waste our time with this.
Yes, thank you.
Here is the in-order list of who CBS believes performed or authorized the hacking of their computers:
Dick Cheney
George Bush
Sarah Palin
The TEA Party
Michele Bachmann
Rush Limbaugh
Mark Levin
Sean Hannity
Ron Paul
Rand Paul
Ted Cruz
She said in the interview she was working on a Mac.
Are there any non-NSA reasons why a computer would come on in the middle of the night? Our computer has done that, and when I tried to explain it to my computer geek Dear Hubby, he was not too concerned. But I can’t remember what he said about it.
