The difference is that President Ronald Reagan and President George H. W. Bush were Americans. Former junior US Senator Barack Hussein Obama is a completely different case.

IINM, when BJ Klintoon made speeches at US Military events, he had them all disarmed; either firearms collected and stored by SS, or mags and ammo removed and collected, until after he left. This President follows the same practice at any military ceremonies. I believe they remove the bolts from the rifles.

But, then, Michelle would not have an excuse to rent 30 rooms in the expensive Dublin hotel where she will be spending millions of our dollars.

Doesn't the USAF already have use of 5 RAF bases in Britain?
FWIW: Isn't the whole "Potemkin village" plan supposed to keep people like this under wraps?

“US officials are taking the personal security of Barack Obama so seriously that they will be positioning two aircraft carriers off the coast of Donegal.”
Most recent info has two carriers in the Atlantic, but no more specific info on where they are today...

Dad (89 now) was with Patton across Europe and Battle of The Bulge, and said they kept their weapons loaded and at the ready, when he and his GS were around.

Yet the IMPOSTOR wouldn't scramble one single jet to save Americans in Benghazi from being slaughtered. Unfrickin' believable...............

I cannot understand why they would put the leaders of the most powerful nations all in the same area. Wouldn’t it be safer to teleconference, rather than invading some village and turning it into a temporary garrison?

One very good reason for all of us to hope & pray that no harm comes to Mr. Obama can be summed up in three words: President Joseph Biden.

I pray every night for his safety. We don’t need hundreds of elementary schools and streets named after him.

What you suggest makes a whole lot more sense.
But we’re talking about leaders who are used to living high on the hog (on other people’s money). Talking on the phone and munching on a PB&J sandwich probably has no appeal to them at all.
Inconveniencing others barely registers with most of them, I imagine.
