An al Qaeda video posted online in late May and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) shows masked Muslim teenage boys undergoing military training and indoctrination at an al Qaeda camp inside Syria.
The video shows the teenagers shooting handguns at a large photo of Syrian leader Bashar al-Asad. It also shows them stating that their leader is Abu Bakr al Baghdadi (the head of al Qaeda in Iraq), and then singing joyfully of their desire to overthrow both Asad and his sister Bushra, of the valor of al Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahiri and of al Qaeda’s success in blowing up the World Trade Center towers.

That Syrian rebel isn’t too far from the truth.
America is not the same as before 9/11, and truth be told, 9/11 was just the biggest act, of which there were many before and after.
So, because of the terrorism which so many fear, the U.S. has gone further than anyone imagined, and now, even the whole population is thought to be “guilty” before any official investigations or court actions.
When our rights are getting violated and made insignificant, all in the name of protecting us, then, America is no longer what it was 200 or even 100 years ago. So, yeah!, in a way, the terrorists have managed to destroy us.
But, our destruction was happening anyway, and the enemy within was doing it to us. Al-Qaeda just helped to push the end results to the shorter term.
Instead of spying on us why doesn’t intel services embed gps into every freakin’ camera the press uses and stream the feed and when they start hacking up people, interviewing camel jockeys, making bombs, or sodomizing American ambassadors send a JDAM or Daisy Cutter to the camera.
Then we’ll climb up on the chair and put our heads in the noose.
When they are through there, he will import them here to make up his civilian armed force that is armed as well as the military.
There is some truth in what they say.

I bet it’s also just a coincidence those terrorist are so in tune with the news they can pick up on a protest in Egypt then plan and carry out a terrorist attack in just a few minutes as if it was “spontaneous”.

Orchestrate civil unrest and race riots then carry out terrorist attacks.
When out of power use it to claim the govt is becoming a dictatorship when the govt is forced to respond to the attacks.
When in power, use the attacks to gain more power by claiming the oppression by the govt is necessary to stop the attacks.

Amusingly, my Democrat-to-my-dying-day friend just posted on his Facebook his displeasure about his former hero Obama’s impending support for the Syrian rebels, in fact, he went so far as to endorse the John Birch society. I was laughing pretty hard during the lunch hour.
